buffalo made the moronic move since 3rd round denver pick last year. They could have moved down to broncos pick plus a 3rd rounder and still got their guy. As a USC fan I am pissed! I would love Leinart to be a broncos but i am not giving up on Plummer.
I don't care who we were targetting, I prefer Cutler.

i highly doubt Shanny wanted Leinart
Cutler was the perferct choice, mobile, cannon arm, considered the 3rd best QB by alot of draft sites
though i still find it intresting that most former QB analysts like Cutler better than the other 2 & Mayock was in love with him
i just hope he's more Carson Palmer than Tim Couch

Ron Jaworski stated he watched every throw Cutler made in college and he thinks he's the best QB in the draft. Compared his footwork to Marino's.

I'm hoping all the pundits are right about Cutler. If so, we are set for QB for the next 10 - 12 years. However, comparing his footwork to Marino's is a double edged sword. In the pocket, Marino may be the best of all time. Outside of the pocket, Marino looked like he was running in sand. His last few years, it looked like he was running in wet concrete.
Cutler looked very mobile in his highlight package, so hopefully we can still have all of the bootlegs and motion plays that we run with Jake. Cutler won't play for atleast a year or so. Hopefully, this motivates Jake and he will take it a step or two further this year and win it all. I like Jake alot, but I'm afraid he may have reached his potential. I wanted the Broncos to pick Bunkley when I saw that they traded up, but this was probably the best move for the future of the franchise.

I seriously doubt the Broncos were targeting Lienart. If they wanted him, they'd have moved into the top 10, simply because no way the Card's pass him up.
I think they were always targeting Cutler.

I was listening to the coverage on AM 950, and Clough, Moser, and some other random draft guru dudes were saying they believed Shanny and co. were putting out feelers about their interest in Leinart as a smokescreen, to make sure Arizona picked Leinart so Cutler fell to them. Not sure if I buy that exactly, but Cutler's skill set fits the current offense much better than Leinart. One thing is clear... they loved Cutler and are very happy to have drafted him. If Cutler was their "second choice", I doubt they'd trade up for him. If anything, Leinart and Cutler were 1 and 1a...

Sal Paolantonio just reported that the Broncos are trying to trade with the Bills to acquire this pick and select Leinart. Before I can even react to this news, the Bills make the selection and take Ohio State safety Donte Whitner. I have to lean towards the collective wisdom of my fellow Broncos fans on this one, who didn't select this kid at all in the entire first round of the DenverBroncos.com Fan Mock Draft. Good player, but many think he would still be available much later.
Another quick shot of Leinart, who is starting to look more disoriented than anything. Like this is some sort of a bad dream.

Kolber interviews Leinart's agent Tom Condon, who drops the understatement of the draft so far when he says they're "a little disappointed" that Matt is still available. The Lions then take Florida State linebacker Ernie Sims, and I can only assume Matt's disappointment just got "a little" deeper.

And so it ends. The Cardinals take Leinart at #10, and Leinart brightens at the realization that Phoenix is only an hour flight from Los Angeles. Kurt Warner's wife is already calling the local sports talk radio shows, though.
The happiest people in Arizona? Possibly the ASU sorority members. I'm not sure if the phrase "target-rich environment" is more appropriate for the Cardinals receiving corps or the Sun Devil campus.

The Rams traded their pick to the Broncos. They're showing Jay Cutler on the phone...
and the announcement comes down from Tags. Jay Cutler is a Bronco.
You've got to be excited about the Broncos brain trust targeting a guy they liked and going after him. A lot of the "experts" thought Cutler might actually be the best NFL prospect at the quarterback position in the draft, period. I don't think anyone needs to throw away their Plummer jerseys any time soon, though. This kid's going to have the opportunity to compete against Bradlee Van Pelt for the #2 job and

I forgot where I read it... but Cutler was the highest rated QB on our board according to so and so..
