were we targeting chad jackson with the 37th pick until new england jumped in front of us and took him? i was waiting to see what they were going to do with the 37th pick but they traded with green bay for walker, which i think is better

I think Greenbay was covering their arse and making sure we didnt pick Jackson, so we would have to give our 1st second to them for Walker.

Here's my question. Could we have given GB our late 2nd rounder? Who was between 37 and 61 that would have done the deal w/GB?

How did we "steal " him from you ? You got Walker and we had him here for a visit last night.

I don't think so. I think he was in Philly last night. Scheduled for New England today. Rumor has it, he never made it.

It was reported a couple of hours before we picked at 37 that we'd traded that pick for Walker, so obviously NE couldn't have stole him since we weren't going to pick there anyway.

Javon Walker may yet meet with the Patriots after all. Just hours after agent Fletcher Smith told the Herald the Packers All-Pro wide receiver wants to visit New England but had yet to receive the OK from Green Bay, word out of Denver is that Walker boarded a plane late this afternoon and is in the air as we speak, bound for Foxboro.
