there are far better backs in the draft for starters. Duece also cant carry the load, he's no better than bell at this point. Quite honestly, i think NO should draft Leinart. Deuce is already familair with the Saints system so they have no need for Bush and desperately need a backup Qb should Brees go down. If NO honestly thinks that Bush is that much better than Deuce than why would we want him?

I'm in Vegas watching the draft with Haloti Ngata and some of his family. Short of it, he lived five houses from us, played with my son in high school, I refereed him in Pop Warner, blah, blah, blah.

It's crazy here. Just glad he's not one I wanted for Denver. Just don't think he's what we need although he's a great kid and a hard worker. If he goes on camera after his pick (they think Cleveland) I promise not to hog the camera. :egbgb:

one player may be able to carry a team when only 5 players are on the court at once, but for me the only position in football that can carry a team is the QB

Don't forget the Saints drafted Duece when they still had Ricky Williams.

I'm happy for the Saints. No team has a more critical need to sell tickets than New Orleans and Reggie Bush will sell tickets. He's the best choice to get this franchise back on its feet. He also makes the threat of a move to L.A. always viable in the background.

Absolutely. Bush will generate a lot of excitement about the Saints, sell tickets, sell jerseys and get them on national television. It was the right move.
Agreed.

Texans on the other hand dont need to sell tickets. They need to win games. Reggie Bush, as great as he was in college, isnt going to help their defense slow down opponents. He isnt goign to help the offense fend off the pass rush. Indeed, he would be a liability in the backfield in terms of protecting the QB.

*I* think it has been the right move for all the teams. The Texans could probably have dropped to #2 with the Saints, taken D'Brick or Mario with that pick and got more money, but hey, its whatever. They got the right position.

Dont draft based on peer pressure, draft based on need.

Most of us would be pissed if we needed badly offensive and defensive linemen and took a RB when we already had a stud RB.
