Yea I happen to be playing against him in my head to head league. It's only Friday, but he's single handedly outscored Abreu, Gomes, and Hafner so far this week. He's killing me.

Told you.
Power hitters are a streaky lot, but Mench is abusing the privilege.
First 11 games: 0 HRs
Next 7 games: 7 HRs
Next 33 games: 3 HRs
Showalter is fed up and now Mark DeRosa and rookie Jason Botts are bleeding away Mench's ABs.

although hes hitting .270 over the past month and Mark DeRosa is hitting .350 in the same timeframe so unless he picks it up hes gonna miss more playing time.

Oh, come on. You can't say that about Mench. I know the guy. He can't even spell "weight room". You can rag on his streaky hitting and overblown streaks all you want, but it's not fair to lump him into the same crowd as Grimsley, Sosa and Pujols.

It's all good. There are a few obvious non-dopers in baseball and Mench and David Wells are clearly on the top of that list.

Yeah, Mench is streaky. He's about due to takeoff soon, though. And so is Mark Teixeira. WOO POWER!

Tex always starts off slow and gets it going after the All-Star break. Gimme Kinsler to get hot soon.
