I think it was nonconsequential to the plot of the story

I think it was that dude that asked if the pee place was hiring but thats just my guess, or that dude that knew what kind of weed it was too a T

I believe it was implied that it was Ryan, which is why he was asking the nurse if they were hiring...because he'd soon be needing a job after failing the drug test. At least that's what I assumed.
