you gotta treat your players right if you want to keep them. GB's been sitting on mountains of Cap room but ignoring they're players.

The Packers are a sh*tty organization to play for plus you got INT Favre coming back.

Maybey they all hate Favre and want to get out now. Also now that Driver said he wants more money Favre is probably going to blast him like he did Walker.

this is interesting because Driver has been critical of Walker at times this year....

So, which guy would be better? Walker or Driver?

One might think that Favre "ain't all that"....just ask his WRs....if you can find them.

Mike Shanahan rings Javon Walker. "Javon is it too late to get the name changed on that airline ticket?"

Definitely, 80 catches last 2 season, 1200 yards. That guy has been the staple of their O. All he wants is a raise because of how well he has done. Id give him 2-3 mil in a heartbeat! :strong:

On a side note, wouldnt it be funny if Favre decided to to retire now? Ha!

Bronco_Beerslug

Rome just raked Favre over. Said why would you come back after a 4 win 29 INT season, so you can go out on two 4 win 29 pick seasons?

Neither want to play for a QB that throws 29 picks...looks bad on them. Everyone knew losing half their line was going to be a disaster except GB. The have a freaking mound of cap room and would have a mountain if they dumped Favre. I firmly believe he just wants the money. He's quite poor with his family down in the swamp fightin' off watermocks.

Cue Brett Favre and his bitch ass " I don't think they should give it to him" speech. Nevermind the fact the club redid his contract numerous times and gave him all kinds of leeway the past five offseason with his inability to decide if he wants to retire or not.

GB prolly only wants two 1sts for Driver...instead of the one 1st for Walker.

Man, the precedant hasn't even been sent yet in allowing a disgruntled player to force a trade and already GB is in trouble.

I wonder if GB will switch back to the no trade policy just to stem the tide of other players following the same path.

Id give them our 1st and Ash for Driver. Hell were prolly burning #15 on a rookie wr anyway. *

I wonder how he would have reacted if they wanted to cut his salary for all his ****ty play the last couple seasons.

You need to lie down after that statement. Dont believe the ESPN hype there's no way Shanahan is burning 15 on any receiver unless Davis falls.

Well Shanny did have a personal visit with two of the top wr's in the draft so that prolly means smoke screen.

packers need to cut farve and start all over.

I'd give a second for driver and a third for javon.

Here is the trade proposal.

We send Lelie and our second rounder for both driver and javon. Deal?

Really, how many games have you watched? Did you see the 11 reception, 200 yards, 3 td performance against Indy in '04? Or how 'bout his 5 reception, 111 yard performance in his first playoff game (where he single handedly dominated Seattle's seconday)?

I know this is blasphemy to those on the Brett Favre bandwagon, but this guy throws into coverage all the time. For a while, I thought it was his thumb injury hampering his throwing but after last year, I don't think so. He looks absolutely awful at times. I don't know how the Green Bay fans feel about him but I know in Denver he would be getting more than a few of those Shanahan stares and sideline talks.

Drive or Walk

...being the lazy arse that I am - i'd drive: That therefore is the foundation or my reasoning for why Driver should be a Bronco and not Walker.

I mean....Walk?? ughhh....

27atwater

driver has 4,114 yards and 25 TDs over the past 4 years.

Rod has 4,121 and 21 TDs

jimmy smith has 4,027 and 23 TDs

very close numbers and great company to be in.

Gimme Driver over Javon. I like both, but Driver doesn't have a knee injury. OH...then trade Ash to NO for Stallworth or Charles Grant.

Walker is 6'3' 215, 27 years old

Driver is 6'0" 190, 31 years old.

Walker has way more upside.

Maybe...but also had an injured knee.

That didn't scare Shanahan away from bringing Ian Gold back. Or drafting Willie Middlebrooks.

No, the time they decided to be cautious about a players injury history was when they decided that Willie Roaf wasn't worth a 3rd rounder. :nono:

im sick of hearing all of you complain about how you dont want him cuz he's been hurt...or he's too old...both are great wr's and our team would be greatly improved to get either one of them. so put on some vagisil and pony up, cuz we need some help and this is our best chance to get it
