He's also visiting New Orleans...the Pack have given him the opportunity to seek a trade.

Looks like Javon will be a Bronco.

I doubt that, not until I see him in a uni

he is just visiting the teams that are interested in him

probably see him visiting the chiefs too

:yep:

If he lowers his asking price, and the Pack will take a 4th rounder, im all for it.

Seems like strange timing. Is GB using a Mayan calender or something? First Favre then this. We should be locking the doors at mission control for the draft. Luckily, Shanahan is detail orientated to they probably have their board all set. Still, it could be a distraction.

Anyone know if or when he's going to NOLA?

I heard Miami is looking to snatch him up as well.

The deal will more than likely go to the Broncos or Saints, probably before draft day. If things go well in New Orleans today, Green Bay could ship him there. As mentioned earlier, teams will want to adjust their draft boards accordingly after a pick-up of that magnitude.

So Javon Walker will have made more visits to Dove Valley this offseason than Ashley Lelie....

That still irks me, you may be unhappy with your role, but man up and work out with the team.

Especially coming into your contract year. I have more empathy for Lelie's postion in that I don't think he's in an offense suited for him, or that utilizes him as much as he's capable of doing, but working out on his own is just stupid. He needs to get close to 50 and over 900 with some td's to get shown the money. Stupid. Yeah, like shanny and jake will go to him more now.

Why would any free agent want to play in New Orleans? There isn't enough money on this earth to go to that team. They have a busted armed QB who isn't even throwing yet and piss poor infrastructure. Walker is coming off of knee surgery and doesn't have the medical of a town like Denver....and Walker is going to go there with a recently busted knee? He's have to be mental to go there.

I wonder how the turf is. They put in a softer turf, but post Katrina I don't know what it's like.

Ps, don't forget Duece is coming off an acl too.

I guess if they give him HUGE money he could go.
Besides your points about football. The city is still a mess, even if he had the big bucks there would be no where to spend it.

Walker has always longed to go back to FL. He stated that he hated the cold.

Here is the deal I would like to see:

Denver gets #5 pick
GB gets #15,#16
Miami gets JW and #37 pick

If Shanahan pulled off that trade, he would get to regain full exclusive rights to the title of MASTERMIND once again... ;D

That would mean for the #22 and #29 Shanahan would get the #5 OA and move up in the 3rd round by over 20 places...

We've underwhelmed our visitors thus far. Let's hope we can break that trend.

anyone else think that us being the last team he visits before the draft points towards us being the favorites to land him?

No. It simply gives the first team time to wow JW and if they really like him, do everything they can to make sure he doesn't leave NOLA.

good point.....

thank goodness he ain't a FA or i'd REALLY be worried....because GB has to be equally if not more impressed by NO than JW

but i'm hoping that we have a better deal on the table and JW believes so and wants to save the best for last....

when house shopping...if i had it narrowed down to 2...i'd visit the one i like the best 2nd.....

maybe it's just me

That seems like a win-win-win deal. Points wise it is a fair deal.

Miami loses #16 (1000) and gains #37 (530) which means they get JW for the equivalent of a 2nd rounder: #43 (470). He is definitely worth that to the Dolphins who look to give Culpepper some receiving talent.

GB loses #5 (1700) and JW and gains #15 (1050) and #16 (1000). They gain 350 points minus whatever JW is worth to GB. Of course, JW is worth less to GB than he would be worth to Miami since he wants out of GB anyway.

The Broncos lose #15 (1050) and #37 (530) and gain #5 (1700). They gain 120 points and get the player they really want: VD.

Who is the loser in this scenario?
