If that happened, I guess should start a nick name contest.
I think for each of the last ten years, GBN has been projecting the Broncs take a TE with their first pick. Now when Broncs really need one, they don't select any with the first four picks???

I have to believe they will take a TE with one of the top four picks at least. If they do stay at #15 and no one drops, well, it'll come down to the RB Williams and Maroney, or WR's Holmes and Jackson. I'd be surprised to see someone else, unless as I mentioned, someone unexpectedly drops.
If no one drops, I'd rather they trade down and get at least another pick.

I echo the Bing statement. I'd be absolutely shocked, floored, flabbergasted, etc if the broncos took Bing.
I dig the rest...sub Klopfenstein for Bing and winner, winner, chicken dinner!!

What is wrong with Bing other than the fact that we Chief and Raider fans would probably call him Chandler?
You guys don't like him on ability or the fact you just don't want any DB's after last years flurry of picks spent on DB's?

I don't know. They read a few scouting reports that say he can't cover and they flip out when they see his name...
Bing would fit Denver's safety mold. Coyer seems to prefer run support over coverage (or Sam Brandon would've been starting over Ferguson at SS). Bing brings that along with loads of athleticism. He makes the big play, delivers the big hit, and supports the run well. He has plus size as well.
I'd be fine with him late second...absolutely fine.

I can't wait until the after the draft when we don't pick Williams and then he breaks his ankle in his third game with his other team. I'm curious what you DeAngelo homers will be saying then.

they will be long gone, just like all the guys who were saying in December that Dumervill was a lock to be a top 15 pick.

rooting for injury... :oyvey:
Seriously, though... have you watched the guy play? Do you see what kind of build he has? His build isn't that far off of LT2.
I hope you're not pushing for Mr. "I forgot a KNEE" and then yelping about this...
DW2 is going to be a stud in this league, and I hope it is for the Broncos...

Agreed.
It's not like he doesn't fit in this scheme. He makes crisp cuts, he's got great explosion out of his cuts, and he's got a low center of gravity.
I can see it if people are concerned over the mileage on his legs already, but other than that I just don't understand...

There are three important things for a RB in our system:
Vision, Decisiveness (to cut-back) and the ability to hit the Hole.
DW2 is top-notch, from what I have seen, in all three of those categories.
Moreso, DW2 explodeds OUT of a hole like few I have seen in a while. While for most, the ability to get to the hole as soon as posible is a big plus, DW2 seems to EXPLODE out of the Hole almost as soon as it is made. Atleast those are my observations... ;D

Wrong on all counts.
I'm not rooting for him to get injured, it's a foregone conclusion that he will be.
I'm excited to see your reaction when he's broken three games into the season.
And yes, I've seen him play and most of the highlight clips were of him running through giant holes untouched.
Also someone mentioned his hands are good, but his pass receiving stats don't seem to suggest that.

I can see it if people are concerned over the mileage on his legs already, but other than that I just don't understand... Ok I'll tell you exactly what I told Play 2 win. He couldn't respond and just said something to the effect of "whatever, he's going to be great."
He has been injured and missed playing time every single year he's played since he was a Junior in High School.
So here's what you need to ask yourself. Do you pay first round money of an injury plagued player who can't make it thorough a college season?
Before you answer consider these facts:
1. Every single starting Broncos running back has been injured at one point or another.
2. The last three rookie running backs we've had were injured their first seasons with us.
3. He's going to be playing probably seventeen games at least, not counting pre-season games.
4. This is pro ball. Defenders are faster, hit harder, and bring it all game long..
5. Name one, ONE, who was plagued with injuries his entire collegiate career and then had them magically disappear when he got to the pros. There are none.
5. We lean on our backs heavily to make our offense go and close out games. At least 25 touches a game is expected. They are expected to take a pounding.
Now ask yourselves again if this is the kind of guy you want to waste a first round pick on. Seems like you're throwing a lot of money and wasting potential at other picks for a probable lemon. Empiracle evidence suggests that this guy has an 83% chance of getting hurt every season. And injuries will come to whoever we take. The guy can't get though a ten game season and you want him to play 20+?!? That's ridiculous.
Not what we need. Maybe in a pass first offense, but not here.
Just say NO to DeAngelo Williams.

That is a strong argument, one which I was unaware of. I read today that they favor Maroney over DeAngelo anyways.

Get you facts straight. I gave examples of why DW2 would do well in this system...
And don't use quotes unless you going to use them correctly... i.e., Something that somewhat atleast vaguely resembles something I said... That does not...
See you AFTER the Draft and we'll see who takes who...

You didn't respond to anything I said about injuries or anything. You just restated that he plays well. You even made the claim that somehow his playing on our team would prevent him from being injured.

I think he missed 3 games over the past 4 years due to injurys. Why dont you tell us your back that will never get injured. RB is a hard job and almost everyone breaks down sooner or later it is all about being able to put it back togather and move on.
Edit: Oh yea the GBN mock is now a full 7 rounds.
