A note about the Broncos: I started doing this draft with the intention of taking Santonio Holmes with the 15th pick but if my scenario is to include correct picks ahead of us, we would have to take Lawson at 15 because of his speed, size and pass rushing ability.

Buffalo would walk away from the first round with a smile from ear to ear if they were able to land D'brick. I'd much prefer Lawson over Cjax or Holmes. But I think we're going to end up with Holmes, which will only cause me to drink even more!

I kind of agree but...I also remember Tony Mandarich, Steve Entman, and Robert Gallery. I just don't see drafting an O-lineman with a top-five pick. At that level, teams'll be looking for a game changer. Great offensive lines are necessary but are usually built as a group of grunts. There's not a lot of distance between the best guard or tackle in the draft and the third or fourth best. D'Brick is fantastic but he won't be remembered as that one guy who took his team to the top. You disagree? Think of the top ten quarterbacks in history, or the top 10 running backs. Top ten recievers? Now give me the top ten offensive tackes. There will be a guy here who can do it and dude, you have my respect but if I had one of the choice picks I'd go for a guy who might become a solid gold hero. Any player can bust and better than half of the first round will bust I have a hunch that the Saints and Jets when given the chance will grab the "next Julius Peppers" and the "Second coming of Broadway Joe" when the lights are on and the clock is ticking. Then the Pack remember Mandarich and love Hawk and the 9ers love Davis, The Raiders are already stuck with Gallery and Old Sleazy Al apparently wants Vince Young. So, there you have it.
