Well?

Which... and why?

I can't see them dishing away a weapon of that caliber once he agreed to return. Unless I'm missing something, I'd say it hurts our chances.

To be quite honest, I don't think it has an effect at all -- and if it does, very little. Walker isn't happy with being there either, and playing one more year with Brett Favre probably isn't going to change his mind on whether or not he's going to do anymore Lambeau Leapsies in the near future.

It hurts the Chances....but if we give them Lelie, they'll still happily unload him.

Neither helps or hurts.

Javon WANTS OUT!! Favre knew this when he made a decision. I dont think anything Favre can do will change Walkers mind..

(at least i hope not)

Why isn't irrelevant an option?

I don't think it matters too much. Walkers trade demand had nothing to do with Favre and seems to be a grudge against Packers management.

I think it helps, Farve threw JW under the bus when he was trying to renegotiate, that is why there is the bad blood there.

It is, kind of. You just exercised it. (Not picking one.)

I'm curious to see if anyone thinks the animosity between the two might help our chances? I don't think so... but I'm not ruling it out.

It probably does neither, but if it has any effect I think it would be helpful. Wabbit mentioned in the other thread that Greenbay is having issues with trading Walker because the Public (which owns the team) would have a **** fit. Now with Farve coming back, they may not be as aprehensive about the upcoming season, which could maybe loosen up the Green Bay FO. That is pretty deep speculation, but not completely Improbable I think.

Maybe Favre loves Lelie's game?

Favre obviously has problems with Walker's attitude. Make the old man happy, says the Packers, and bye bye Javon.

Hellow Javon!

Now, I don't know of any standing beefs between the two, but IF I was Walker I'd hate Favre's guts right about now...

I think Favre coming back helps the chances of getting him. I ssay this because of last offseason when Walker wanted his new deal and Favre opened his mouth and pissed him off. Jovon's mind is made up he doesn't want to b there. Give them Lelie the number 15 and late 2nd rounder and get Walker and there 5th pick and get VD. VD would add a nice insurance policy in case Walker isn't completely recovered by giving them a another strong pass catcher. And if they are both there, even better.

Again, I'd be thrilled with that... but why would GB trade us a better receiver and a top 5 pick for a lesser receiver and a 2nd round pick? I mean, that's beyond comical.

I think it will help push Javon out. He and Brett, at least publicly, don't get along.

Extra picks for a team with a ton of holes, and a player who wants to be there. I don't think Favre's decisio has a lot to do with Walker.

I agree.

You have to hand it to Donk fans. They never run out of stupid.

Brett Favre stands to make $10 million. Unless he offers some to Walker, I don't think it means much.

I don't think it matters one way or another Walker is gone.

Neither. If a trade is made involving Walker, I think it wil be with the Iggles, not the Broncos. It is time we Broncos fans let the rest of the NFL world exist. Iggles and 9ers are also interested in Walker, and they could well drive the price up for Walker that it would be stupid to stay in that game.

Maybe there will be some other draft day trade that makes more sense.

Said the fan of a team that hasn't sniffed a Lombardi since Nixon was in office.

Can they give up more? Neither team has a legit vet WR to let go. Personally, if I were the Pack's GM, I'd pass on any vets and just get the most picks I could for Walker, and let Brett take a ass-whoopin while the fans get crap for their dollars, and try to rebuild hoping against hope Rodgers is the real deal. But, that'd be pretty obvious to the fans.
