I need your help. I just got a Razor v3 cell phone and I'd like to download a mp3 file to the phone for a ringtone. I've got the mp3 on my work computer.

Does anyone know how I can make this happen? I've got my service through Cingular.

BTW I am helpless when it comes to technology, so the easier the better...thanks.

Take it back while you still can.

I've owned several Motorola phones, all crap. I made the mistake of getting myself into a Razr two weeks ago because it was such a cheap deal.
As usually happens when you go against your better judgment, it was a huge mistake. It's falling apart already. Camera is broken, it shuts off from time to time, just total crap... like all Motorola products. I'm taking it back this week.

These phones have been recalled several times and re-released, and each version is worse than the prior.

Does the RAZR take any external memory such as mini SD or SD? That would be a way to transfer the file; otherwise you may have to get a data or USB cable.

I haven't seen one of these phones myself, so I don't know. I've had my current phone for three years and seriously considering switching from T-Mobile to Verizon. I'm a big text message junkie so I'm looking at the LG VX9800 phone. Anybody have this phone....pros....cons?

I have a Motorola V276 that I'm very happy with!

Happen to work for Cingular.

The Razr is ok, no cable comes with the phone, our corporate stores don't normally carry it either. However, you can find it at the Motorola store website, ,Motorola.com. Also download "mobile phone tools" software to use cable. This will allow you to send and receive pics, ringtons, etc. via the cable to your pc with an easy interface.

Hope that helps....

Go to Best Buy and get the USB cable, but you will need the Mobile Phone Tools to get the computer to talk to/recognize the phone. I've had a razr since they were new and never had any problems with it. Made many ring tones with the phone tools.

Yep, it'll cost you 29.99 but it's worth it. You can do all kinds of cool stuff with the tools, including a transfer of fun photos your ex's send you. :~ohyah!:

Those darn USB cables are pricey! I was lucky and the one that came with a digital camera had the right end on it to fit the phone, works like a champ!

Nude wallpapers, etc.......

We had a bunch of those cables laying around at work for cameras and such, but the tools will cost you 29.99 to download off of the motorola website. Personally, I love the phone, but I've never had a pricey cell phone before...

I want a Blackberry.

You mean crackberry, they suck. Had one at my last 2 jobs and hate them. Luckily my service on my cell is Cingular, same as works, so I have them call me on my personal phone. The blackberry is like a brick when you want to use it like a phone. Plus it is like a brick when you carry it on your belt in the clip.

The new ones are not that brick like. Depends on what you are using them for. I have aTreo 650, and it's awesome for my needs. Getting email to my phone with the capability to open the attachements is key, as is having a calender that syncs through our server.

Bah, then you have to carry two devices. Again, it depends on what you are trying to do. I had two devices and I hated carrying them both.
