Yes, it is a little early, but i was wondering what other people's thoughts on this upcoming season were like. Mine areas follows.

The Super Bowl Champion will come from the AFC once again. There are 4 maybe 5 teams that will b competing to b top dog in the AFC. Denver-if they get a dependable receiver with Rod, a strong every down back and a good pass rush they are the best in the AFC. Indianapolis-will stay strong even without James. Kansas City-if they can field a descent defense and keep the offense going strong they could compete. Cincinatti-if Palmer comes back healthy and doesn't miss a lot of time they can compete like last season. Last and possibly, but i doubt it, San Diego-if Rivers can come out and play like Rothlisberger and they get a receiver that team has all the tools to make a deep playoff run.

So with that those are the teams i feel will compete for the AFC spot in the Super Bowl. People will ask what about New England, plain and simple New England is going to b rebuilding this year, and more than likely Miami is there to take the division crown from them. 7-9
What about Pittsburgh, too many losses and they no longer have the win it for the bus inspiration. 8-8 at the best

Division champions
AFC East - Miami 11-5 record
AFC North - Cincinatti 10-6 record
AFC South - Indianapolis - 12-4 record
AFC West - Denver 13-3 record.

I think Carolina wins the Super Bowl, unless the Colts do what we did in '97 after a terrible home loss in the '96 playoffs. Nothing else really matters.

AFC South - Indy
AFC West - Denver

NFC East - Dallas
NFC North - Da Bears
NFC South - Miami
NFC West - Seattle
NFC Wildcards - New York and Tampa Bay

I predict Denver will go 11-5 The vikings will suck and go no better than 6-10 if even that. Dallas and Miami are both on the way up. Seattle's road is so easy it's funny. The bears are the least worst of a bad division.

Denver finishes an unremarkable 9-7. With no pass rush and no power house running game, defenses will force Jake into many mistakes, offenses will pass right over us. We should be able to jump out to a good start again, but about 6 games in teams will have figured out how to stop our cleverly disguised blitzes. That's about when the season starts going downhill.

God I hope Im wrong.

Booo! KC wins the division and we are not even wild card? ouch.

I gaurantee we win the division. Oak is horrible anyway, and has a new coach. new coach in KC with an aging O and a maybe even worse D. SD, lost Brees, sammy davis, and looking to trade edwards. Denver is the best team in the west and will win it.

We basically have the same players coming back, and the ones we lost can be replaced. we lost anderson, but our running game is never a problem so im not worried. trevor sucked ass last year, and that performance can be matched by a rookie. I think Duke can replach Jeb, and will be money in the endzone.

The biggest loss may be lelei leaving. but if we get a proven vet to replace him, it will be alright. but you have to wonder, with SF turning him down if he will be here this year and next year. If Lelie stays here he is going to have one of his best seasons. If he wants to leave next year, he's going to work hard and play hard, and be focused on the field, and put up numbers and show other teams what they can get if they get him. Then Heimerding does great things with wr/passing game, so Lelie might realy benefit from heimerdinger beinger here. Plus Dinger working wit David Terrell, who has all the talant in the world, David Terrell might be very good here. Dinger working with all of our wr's, i think is going to help us tremendously, so wr, isn't that concern for me.

Our Defense will be fine and great as usauall, and with darrant, and foxworth, being a year older/wiser our db core should be better than last year. that goes for the browncos too, and maybe lang will be pretty good here, or we get a good DE, our defense will dominate everybody.

We are going to have a great year. I think anywere form 12-4 to 14-2 will be our record.

Indy gets 2 playoff births? The league really does want to embrace manning and get him a SB.

Mock has really been hitting the sauce or I have and didn't realize carolina switched leagues, what AFC division are they in?

I dont have any feeling for the AFC West at all at this point. Not really impressed by any of the teams offseasons. We'll see what the draft has in store.

I can't believe all the love Indy is getting. I think the loss of James is going to exact a huge toll. Jacksonville is ready to take that division.

Indi love isn't all that surprising. Sure they lost Edge, but Rhodes is more than capable to step up and carry the load for them or they will draft someone like Lawerence Maroney. All in all the Colts will remain 1 of the elite teams in the AFC.

I'll say Denver goes 8-0 at home, 8-0 on the road. Then the second season starts, and 16-0 doesn't count for much. Denver wasn't ready to win at home on a beautiful sunny day at Mile High last year in the AFC Title game, and that's where the improvement has to be.

This is the year. Get in condition, lots of wind-sprints, step it up in the second season. The Title is right there to grab, but they have a little work to do between the ears. Titles have to be taken, they don't just appear on your doorstep.
