Somebody none of us has ever heard of, but ran ran fast before he tore his ACL and had both kidneys removed. But that's OK. He has great potential and we can just have him on dialysis at halftime.
Ok. That's probably harsh. We haven't made any really, really, really stupid reaches in a couple of years. I just wished Shanahan drafted as well as he gameplans. But then it wouldn't be fair for the rest of the league.

My shocker is Antonio Cromartie, and we switch him to SS
Shocker.... Reggie Bush. Anyone not named Mario or Vernon would be a shock. I am not saying we get either of them, But as in years past I will be shocked as too whom Shanny picks.

I'll go with Tamba Hali. It'd be shocking, but in a very good way since I want them to take him which is usually the kiss of death.

Most shocking would be if we aren't shocked this year. Even tho most of the eastern media is pushing Chad Jackson on us, I don't see it.
This AJ Hawk/Vernon Davis catfight between the Jets and GB is pretty funny. If Winston Justice fell out of the top 10 I could see a move. Plug him in at RG while he's groomed.

Shocker #1-Ngata slips.
Shocker #2-Eric Winston

Donte Whitner, Ohio State (5-10 1/8, 204, 4.45)
Whitner had a complete workout at the Combine. He ran his 40s in 4.40 and 4.49, had a 40-inch vertical jump, 11-foot long jump, 4.12 short shuttle, 6.79 three-cone drill, and did 18 lifts. He played defensive back and wide receiver in high school. He played, but did not start as a freshman in 2003. Started five games in 2004 and all 12 games in 2005. He has a great feel for the game, an outstanding competitor, strong, has quick feet, great anticipation, outstanding leadership, and is a very good football player. Smaller size is a little bit of an issue, but because of his football abilities, Whitner could do well as a safety or even a cornerback. He has Pro Bowl potential and outstanding character.

I like this guy, but was hoping he would slip to our first 2nd rounder. He definately would have been there at #22, so yes, it would be a shocker to take him @15.
My shocker would be if by the grace of God either Bunkley or Ngata happens to slip to the 15th... and we don't take them.

Someone is bound to slip out of that top ten. My guess would be Huff or Bunkley. I'll put my money on Bunkley.

Jimmy Williams. Top 10 talent that falls into the 15 slot. Typical Shanny pick.
Lawson. Sooner or later Shanny is going to open his eyes and see that these teams that are drafting smaller, quicker DE's are doing something right.
Big Guy, Bunkley and Huff aren't going to drop. I'd love it if either of them did. I've been all over both of them for quite some time. I've also been saying all along that Huff would go ahead of Williams and Bunkley would go ahead of Ngata. Two months ago I would have been laughed off the board. Then Huff comes out runs a sub 4.4 40 and out classes almost every other DB in his interviews and low-n-behold... he's the "blue chip" prospect of all DB's in this draft. Ngata, the 350 giant that caused one of our own to trade the #22, 29, and a 2nd I believe to draft him @#6. Bunkley goes to the Sr. Bowl looking like the Incredible Hulk, which then forces that national media and "scouts" to really start looking at his game film, which then leads to us all knowing that he's the best TFL DT in the draft and not only stops RB's in the backfield, but gets after the QB too. Imagine that, a DT that can do two things going ahead of the Diet Pepsi Machine's little brother (the little bro part is arguable!).

OK, I'll play.
How would Marcedes Lewis sit with you folks at the 15th slot??
Yeah, me too, so, brace yourself.
The good news is that there is now an outside chance that Michael Huff might slip...not sure if it would be all the way to 15, but he could.
That certainly would be a shocker...real value AND a position of need.
I wouldn't need my liquor stock or anything...may even be able to sleep Saturday night.

If Huff is there at 10 we better be on the phones!!! I gladly give up pick #61 to move up 5 spots and secure the best DB in this draft and probably the best since Deangelo Hall.

That would be fine by me. Bring Marcedes in. I took him at pick 17 in our orangemane mock draft. He's just as good as VD, i have no problem saying that all. I still like White the best, but Lewis is probably my second favorite offensive prospect in this draft for us.

Lewis is really a better player then folks think, for all those on Pope because of his size need to realize that Lewis is 6'6 to Pope 6'7, and Lewis is a better pass catcher.

CIN, CHI, CAR, JAX. Then, BUF and ARI after #37. That also assumes SF gets Davis at #6. If not, then TE at 22 is a possibility.

I would love to see Huff slide down to 15...I know in the Jimmy Williams thread, I was against him coming to Denver but, I would embrace Huff if he were to fall into the Broncos lap at 15...
On the other hand, Marcedes would be more than a reach at 15...I'd love him at 37 but, 15 would be awful!

My opinion is that unless Davis slips and I doubt it, we will stay. Huff is a definite possiblity. We have plenty of picks at this point. I'm still hoping we can ship our first, 37 and Lelie for Walker and the #5 but we will need Jedi help to fight of Darth Davis.

I agree with maneman. Drafting lewis at 15 would be iffy but I wouldn't punch anything. I personaly would look toward Kiwanuka if avalible at fifteen and a rb or wr in the second round. I watched Kiwanuka this year live versus Flordia State this guy plays way above his pre draft grade and would be a major inprovement over any of the browncos were have at DE on character and intesity alone. The reason i say this have a feeling Javon walker is coming our, way WR issue resolved.
If we draft C Jackson or Holmes ill be pissed.
