Crap...forgot to make it public!
If you like espresso it can go under the latte/cappucino one.

It's gotta be black. Make it strong, weak coffee is bitter coffee. Cold brew coffee is that best, but its more work.

Fresh ground is definitely better...but I need the caffeinated stuff...what's the point of decaf...and it's processed more. I;ve heard that that stuff is actually worse for you.
I've also read somewhere that espresso has less caffeine.

You never sweeten a bitter cup but you can lighting it. Should have made this mult-pick poll, since I really enjoy capuccino or espresso after a good meal.

I like Millstone. It's spendy...but it's still cheaper than stopping at Caribou or Starbucks.

I know...I hit submit and thought of it after...
I like expresso and cappucino too...actually a "Breve" (1/2 and 1/2 and expresso) and reg. coffee too (fairly strong) with cream/no sugar. (Sometimes cinnamon hazelnut or vanilla nut cream flavored)
What's even nicer...when someone makes it for me! ;D
I have a new favorite way, the way they serve it in Brazil. They come to your table with a container of very hot black coffee and a container of very hot milk than they pour the coffee followed by the milk. Umm good.

Espresso has so much caffeine that I experience vertigo attacks almost immediately when drinking it :)
I can't drink caffeine because of that but I actually like the taste of select fresh ground coffees. I don't drink pop or any other sugar drinks (besides 100% juice) so water, coffee, beer and wine is it.

Millstone works. I buy a lot of different brands at our coffee house in town. They different stuff all the time. I almost always buy medium roasts.

Folgers beans are pretty good...I have a coffee grinder and for a "cheaper" coffee it's not bad when I grind it. Caribou Coffee beans are pretty good....hate starbucks though.

best cure for a hangover=2 eccedrine and a big glass of water. Caffeine in the eccedrine is a vaso-diolator and the water helps with the dehydration. Coffee is a diaretic so actually dehydrates you more, and a hangover is simply swelling of the brain due to dehydration.

Chaser....I've field tested it on several occasions with mixed results.
IMO, you're better off with the Cap. cure or with a couple of Xenadrine fat burners and Advils in the AM

Black, black, BLACK!!!
Prefer Triple AMERICANOS
- Thats just HOT water and espresso mixed together.
I think if you really love coffee for what it is, Americanos are the best, most pure way to drink it.
There are many ways to drink it, French Press, Turkish (finely, finely ground, grounds left in), but it all comes down to the beans...
One of the best espressos (caps, lattes & Americanos) I ever had was at VIVACE's in Seattle, Wa.
I've also been (a few times) to the very first Starbucks ever. Small little alley of a place in Downtown Seattle across from, I believe it was, 2 Union Square...
Amaretto Di Sorono is also very good in Black Coffee. Even better in Americanos

It's called Chaser and it works because it contains activated charcoal, which supposedly absorbs the stuff in alcohol that causes a hangover. You can buy charcoal tablets at Walgreens and it's pretty much the exact same stuff for cheaper.
In my experience, it does substantially lessen the effects of a hangover, but it always makes me wake up in the middle of the night to take a nasty black charcoal dump.
Pretty good tradeoff if you ask me.

Most of the music up there isn't Grunge, its just tallented stuff. It was nice to go out and where you would normally see some cover band, up there you would see some quality original music...

DURHAM, N.C. - - A study by researchers at Duke University Medical Center shows that caffeine taken in the morning has effects on the body that persist until bedtime and amplifies stress consistently throughout the day. These results show for the first time that the effects of caffeine last considerably longer than originally thought, said the scientists, and that caffeine exaggerates stress in people who consume it every day.
The study, which was funded by the National Institutes of Health, appears in the July/August 2002 issue of Psychosomatic Medicine.
http://www.painstudy.com/PainDrugs/p28.htm
"The effects of coffee drinking are long-lasting and exaggerate the stress response both in terms of the body’s physiological response in blood pressure elevations and stress hormone levels, but it also magnifies a person’s perception of stress," said James D. Lane, Ph.D., associate research professor in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Duke and lead author of the study. "People haven’t really accepted the fact that there could be a health downside to caffeine consumption, but our evidence – and that of other studies – shows that this downside exists and people should be aware of it in order to make the best possible health choices."
To determine the effects of caffeine on people as they go about their normal activities, the researchers enrolled 47 healthy, habitual coffee drinkers in a double blind, placebo-controlled study. That is, neither the participants nor the researchers knew when the participants were receiving caffeine or the placebo.

Brands are for suckers.
Best coffee in the world comes from the Kona bean IMO. Hawaiian coffee much better than anything any south american or carribbean grower can produce.
Grind my beans daily. Will never go back to pre-ground coffee.
Every now and then I might throw in some french vanilla creamer, but usually only on the weekends. Weekday coffee has to be black and you should be able to get a spoon to stand straight up in it.

It basically makes a coffee concentrate. Once made you keep it in the fridge. Add 1 part coffee to 3 parts hot water (or to your liking) stir and enjoy. Since it is cold brew a lot of the bitter acids aren't extracted from the bean. Pretty tasty stuff.
