Its the offseason.
So, who do you all feel has had the best offseason?
I really feel like the Skins have improved in the areas where they lacked last year and should be a better playoff team next year. Players signed are: Randle El, Brandon Lloyd, Andre Carter and Archuleta to name a few.
I know some are gonna bring up our salary cap so lets just leave that dead horse alone. I want to know who you think had done the most to improve their team so far this offseason.

Offseason is not over yet.
But thus far ill give it to the Skins just because of the mass of signings. On paper they look solid, but ill wait till the season begins.
Almost a tie with them is the Browns, Verrry-vicious, Mcginnest, and one more guy that slips my mind. Very solid vet signings that will help that team loads.

just say Redskins thats what he really wants to hear anyways. He does this every year, and every year we come up on top of his team.

Of course its the Redskins they are the only team that doesn't have to follow the Salary Cap. ;)

"The" best offseason move has to be Denver grabbing pick #15 for #29 and peanuts. The Skins have had a decent sFA signing, but once again will they mesh. I remember Skin fans going crazy when you got Coles and others (just raped the Jets roster) but none of that turned out.

I agree. Cleveland has done very well. It seems people want to play for Romeo. I was happy to see LeCharles Bentley go there instead of Philly.

Yes I recall the Vikings signing a bunch of players last year and they were pegged super bowl contenders, I expect the same result from the skins. As for most improved team so far this offseason would be the texans.

Skins did ok, they gave way too much guaranteed money for not one bonafide star.

The Redskins are not the Vikings. We are coming off a playoff season and filled holes of need.
I was glad to see Smoot go to the Vikes last year and not pay him the money his ego thought he should get. Steve Smith loves Smooooot.
Im curious to see what the Texans will do in the draft. I think they can be a good team in the next few years.
I dont like T.O. in Dallas. As much of a cancer he is, he is awesome on the football field. I hope Bledsoe has no time to throw.

Browns had the best offseason.
Redskins way overpaid(Like they always do).....They're paying Archuleta more than any other safety in the league....That's right. More than Roy Williams and Ed Reed. They still came in at number 2.
The Dolphins finally got themselves their Franchise Quarterback...
It's been a good offseason for everyone, methinks.

Skins WAY overpaid for Archuleta. Even if Taylor is convicted and sent to hell, Archuleta in no way deserves the cheddar he got.
Then they WAY overpaid Randle El, he is a good 3rd receiver, I repeat, 3rd WR.
The position they are hurting at the most is QB imo. Todd Collins? Brunnell is fragile at best, I can't believe he got up from some of those hits he took last season. Is Jason Campbell gonna play this year?
I guess you could call it productive since they filled up a bunch of roster spots, but I think it will prove ineffective. I'd give them a C+.

Redskins makes those type of signings every year. Their improvement depends on how Gibbs does this year.
However, the entire NFC east improved by about the same amount. I look for the Redskins to have a similar season next year.

Not looking at the money side of it, I think we are gonna see some players we signed become stars.
I think Lloyd from SF is going to be a huge addition for us. He was SF only threat last year and had a good season. Same with Randle El. Coming from a run oriented team in Pitt he will be a good slot WR and return man for us.
The player I am most excited about is Andre Carter. I think Gregg Williams will get the best out of him and he will have his best year as a pro.

Setting the $$ and contracts debate aside, the players we signed filled the holes of a team who went to the playoffs and actually won a game last year.
The best offseason move I forgot to mention was the hiring of Al Saunders. His track record speaks for itself.
As for our QB situation I agree with you. Brunnell if he can stay healthy will be the starter all year. When healthy last year, Brunnell put up one of his best seasons. Then he got hurt and other teams realized if you took Moss out of the game we were pretty predictable on offense.
Jason Campbell will be the #2 QB. Collins was signed so he could help bring along Saunders offense. nothing more than that. Campbell is our future.

That's a huge liability though. You can sign all the guys you want, but it's pretty tough to win with garbage QB's. You don't need to remind me about Gibbs' QBs that he won SBs with, 3 different et al.
But they were all in thier prime. Campbell the rookie is getting a new offense, and it isn't gonna be easy for him WHEN Brunnell goes down.
I must say that Lloyd and Carter were very good pickups. Maybe I was to harsh, I'll give you guys a B-, the minus is because of the overpayments, and you can't just not count that into the equation, it matters big time.

Washington HAD to turn to FA to improve the team, because they won't be much of a factor in the draft. Therefore, they did their job very well...

I think the chefs have played them in the big game for a few of those years, they might have beat them a couple times, not sure though.

Hey Joe,
the best offseason move you could make is to move back to Huntington Beach from Oklahoma. :)

Lavar Arrington is the biggest name we lost. Ryan Clark at safety is the only full time starter that we lost this season.

i have to hand it to washingont thats a pretty good WR corps
Cleveland. Schaffer and Bentley are major OL additions. McGinest knows Crennel's system and will be a team leader. Jurveicious provides a solid #2 to play opposite a returning, healthy, Braylon Edwards. They also have a top 15 pick (12 right?) where they can add another elite player. They'll have a good draft and Crennel is going to turn that team around quickly.
