If we are going to go with totally unrealistic trades, why dont we just have a poll saying "would you 22nd pick straight up for Julius Peppers?".

Then I'd trade the #1 to the Jets for #4, #29, #35, and next years 3rd.

Because people decided to combine 2 items of speculation and one legit rumor into a mega-deal that itself has no basis in fact.

Nothing discussed in internet forums regarding the draft has any basis in fact, even legit rumors. The fact that the trade has no basis in fact has nothing to do with whether or not it's realistic.
Were it proposed it would be a fair trade. #15, #22, and Bell would not be.

Here is a trade that I could see happening... and so SoCal knows, I wouldn't be happy with it.
#15, #22, and DJ Williams for Houston's #1. Houston could use a couple LB's and DJ would be a big step in the right direction for them. I would hope that we wouldn't do this deal, but with DJ being less than enthused about Denver who knows?

The only 2 trades I think the Broncos will attempt to make themselves is a pick for Walker which has already be discussed in-depth and 2 of our 4th rounders to get that 3rd rd pick back. The only way another deal happens is if another team are looking for our picks/players and the deal's too sweet to refuse similar to the Falcons/Jets trade.

No...no I wouldn't. I'd keep our picks and use one to draft the RB that USC uses to score touchdowns...Lendale White. Then draft another stud with the other first rounder and keep Tater around for the big gainers.
Reggie Bush = Eric Metcalf (admit it, it could be true)

Well, T.O. came with some noted baggage, but your point remains.
Lelie ranks out somewhere around Bobby Engram with regards to overall receiver rankings. Would anyone here give anything more than a third rounder for Engram? Would you even give that? The guy just isn't going to sweeten any deal much, especially once teams factor in the fact that he's a free agent at season's end.
If it brings Walker to town, package Lelie in the deal and get it done. But, people need to get over this fantasy that Lelie has any sort of marked trade value. He's an average stat guy about to be a FA.

I'd do it...if Tatum Bell can run for 900+ yards on this team just think what Reggie Bush could do...we'd win the super bowl with him being on our team no doubt...we wouldn't need a TE with a player like bush on our team...BUT this will never happen so lets all keep dreaming.

DJ's a great player and I'm sure as much as Bronco fans love him, that would be assinging him the value of the #11 pick, and that's a too high. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be enough for Houston to make that trade. Another high pick would probably have to be thrown in. Look at what it took for the Giants to (basically) trade #4 to #1 and grab Eli.
Personally, I don't see anyone willing to give up a ransom to move up to Houston's spot, especially a more realistic scenario concerning teams near the top of the draft because a number of teams are targeting Leinart (Titans/Jets) and the others (Packers/49ers/Bills) need every draft pick they can get. I think New Orleans is the team sitting pretty at number two and could benefit from the Titans and Jets trying to grab Leinart.

Absolutely not on the Reggie Bush trade. We have a chance to pick up TWO quality players in the first round. We'll find the next great running back later in the draft...

Whats unreasonable about the #11 overall pick's value? DJ is a STUD, whose physical ability is outstanding. Despite the coaching staff's best efforts at trying to marginalize and minimize him, he still stood out to Gil Brandt, one of the league's most respected figures, who placed him on his midseason all pro 1st team despite a lack of gaudy statistics and to Bill Parcells who said he should be a Pro Bowler. All of this was done after the coaching staff went out of its way to tie one hand behind his back (in addition to stabbing him in the back) by putting him out of position and keeping him off the field half the game. Despite him not standing out to fans this year, people around the league know what this guy is worth and they know he is a stud. League personnel saw it in 2005 and 2004 and the fans saw it in 2004. There is nothing unreasonable about the valuation issues you brought up.

I just don't see Houston moving down that far unless they got an offer that completely blew them away. I just think there would have to be another pick added to the deal.
Then again, he would come at a good price to them contract wise so maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing.
It could be a total smokescreen but it sure looks like they want Mario Williams and I think what they really want is someone in the top four to trade with so they still have a chance to pick him up and grab those extra draft picks.

I think pretty much everything right now is smokescreens left and right. I am still convinced they want Bush. Maybe its a negotiating tactic to get a more favorable contract as Bush has repeatedly talked about how important it is to him to be the No. 1 overall pick. Maybe he will cave from say an 8% increase on what Smith got last year to a 5% increase. Who knows.
No one (even Charlie Casserly) is dumb enough to go on NFL Network and publicly pleasure himself to a particular prospect like he did with Mario Williams if that is the guy he really absolutely wants.

WTF are you talking about? Your going to trade 3 first rounders for a running back that wasn't even a full time starer? Not to mention the signing bonus for a Running back as the number one?. I can't believe people sign off of this. I can't even comment.
I'm not even going to bother. I do find it amusing people that think it would be a good idea. Yeah, lets spend a 20 million dollar bonus and 3 first rounders for a Bell clone.
Your idiots. It's ludicrous. Who made Bushl a God? There is nothing super special about him anyway. He'a a great back, but your talking three first rounders? How amusing. RB and WR isn't the problem,k it's DE and TE.

The value of #15 and #22 give the value of the #4 pick in the draft. There's 100 points between pick 4 and 5, or the equivalent of an early 4th.
That's Lelie and an early 4th for a player that hates your organization, and may not show up for camp. Not to mention how the Pack could use multitudes of quality players, and would love two first rounders.
