The Broncos are the only team in the last 10 years that has not had a top-10 pick in the first round!

It's actually been 15 years. They last had a top 10 pick in 1991 when they used the 4th overall pick on flash in the pan Mike Croel.

Technically we had the 10th pick after going 6-10...but we dropped back. And I think it's been longer than ten years as well.

Now I'm reaching for the beer after hearing Mike Croel's name. I was doing fine today, the sun was shining and after hearing his name, darkness decends. :flush:

Croel didn't work out in the long-run, but I still have fond memories of his stay in Denver. The 1991 Broncos might be my favorite Denver squad ever, the year where Croel was the talk of the incoming rookie class.
I remember going to sports card shops and asking dealers for their Croel rookie cards! I still have them protected in plastic sheets in my football card binder like they are gold.
