Titans | Police and courts: Drug bust in Tennessee
Sat, 15 Apr 2006 08:35:41 -0700
Jim Wyatt and Christian Bottorff, of the Tennessean report nine people were arrested on suspicion of having roles in two major drug rings that trafficked cocaine and marijuana in Sumner and Davidson counties in Tennessee. One man, from Nashville, has possible ties to Tennessee Titans CB Adam Jones, authorities said Friday, April 14. Officers seized 1,653 pounds of marijuana, 128 pounds of cocaine, more than 20 vehicles and $608,000, police said. Many of the questions at a news conference surrounded the possible connection to Jones. Davidson County District Attorney Torry Johnson said that Jones is an acquaintance of suspect Darryl Jerome Moore, an aspiring rap singer who was released early last year from federal prison in California. Jones' nickname was embroidered as "Pac Man" on the black leather seats of a 2004 Cadillac XLR, a pricey sports car that authorities confiscated from Moore's apartment. Jones' Nashville attorney, Roger May, said yesterday that the car does not belong to his client, and he said he does not know if Jones ever owned or drove the car. Jones' sports agent, Michael Huyghue, said yesterday that he had advised his client not to comment.

NFL wouldn't be as entertaining without characters like Pac Man. Wouldn't it be fun to burn a blunt and snort lines off a stripper's clit with this dude?
Pac Man rocks. He has street cred. Something I don't have!

This clown was obviously the financial facilitator but it might be hard to convict him unless they can get a money trail. There were some rumblings about him and Sean Taylor out of the drafts for punk behavior. We all were surprised when he was taken over Rolle.
It never fails to amaze me, all he had to do was throw his millions into real estate and live like a king the rest of his life. He better have a good accounting where his money was. This was a MAJOR bust.

Dopeman Jones told him to get off his property but the reporter was on a public sidestreet. I guess he "owns" the hood. Second, he said that he had "lent" the car but didn't have any idea where it was. Third, he threatened the reporter.
As I said, he better have a decent money trail. This ex-felon friend seemed to get back in business pretty fast.
I'm always amused when these punk felons drive around in 100K rides with the boomers going and expect to stay under the radar. Let's just embroider PacMan's nick on the headreast and put 5K wheels on the Lexus.
It never fails to amaze me how stupid these athletes are. Rather than just tell the reporter no comment and to stay off his property (which he wasn't) and lock the door, he tries to intimidate by threats...total genius.
This was no small bust. 680K in cash and 168 in coke and almost a ton of weed isn't a small matter. My guess is the PacMan lost some significant investment capital.

PacMan had a bad weekend. At a miminum, his Caddy was confiscated in a federal drug seizure, which means its gone forever, unless he wants to go bid on it at auction at some later date. At worst, he's looking at being charged as an accomplice in several felonies.

I think it all depends on the people that were busted. You know authorities are going to be offering some deals to get Jones indicted on this too.

If Pac Man had anything to do with this drug bust, he would have been arrested too. This was not some random traffic stop where they found a ton of coke and marijuana in the back of the car. This was a surveillance sting that probably went on for months. If PacMan was involved with the drugs he would have been arrested with the other nine guys.
Right now the only thing that PacMan did wrong was have his name embroidered on a seat in the car. The last I checked that is not against the law. And the car does not even belong to PacMan so for all we know the drug dealer loved the video game PacMan so much that he had it embroidered on his seats.

Classy guy. It never ceases to amaze that $$$ can buy so many things, but intelligence, diginity and class are not three of them. All innocent people curse at reporters and threaten to beat them up. I see he developed an expansive vocabulary at WVU. Musta been all that time he spent in class. I am glad he isnt a Bronco. He has Cowboy or Raider or maybe even Raven written all over him.

PACMAN ADMITS TO LOANING CAR TO SUSPECTED DRUG DEALER
Omitted from Saturday's published reports in the Tennessee media regarding the possible connection between Titans cornerback Pacman Jones and suspected drug dealer Darryl Jerome Moore was any reference whatsoever to a WKRN-TV report from Friday night in which Jones admits that he loaned his Cadillac XLR with "Pac-Man" stitched into the seats to Moore, an aspiring rapper, for the making of a music video.
Jones says that he doesn't know what happened to the car, which lists at more than $70,000, after giving it to Moore.
The video of the WKRN story is available right here. And although there's still no evidence to link Pacman to any illegal activities, Jones once again shows off his turdish tendencies by verbally berating the reporter who tried to question him from a public driveway near Jones' house.
Here are some of the more colorful quotes from Pacman. (The expletives were bleeped by WKRN, but it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out what he was saying.)
1. "This is private property. Don't you see that [sh-t]? Private [f--king] property."
2. "Don't put that -- don't turn that [camera] on on me. If you turn that on, I'm gonna snatch it."
3. "I don't give a [f--k] what you do, man. You ain't got no proof to do nothin'."
4. "I don't give a [f--k] who told you what."
5. "Next time you come on my property . . . we gonna get to fightin'."
Jones' admitted link to Moore contradicts statements from his lawyer and agent to the Nashville Tennessean, and it's amazing to us that the Tennessean would allow petty local rivalries between media outlets to prevent the newspaper from providing to its readers with the whole story.
We also wonder why the video hasn't made its way into the national media, such as ESPN. Frankly, we're beginning to suspect that maybe the editors in Bristol might now turn a blind eye to some of the player behavior that might alienate the average fan, in order to protect and defend the network's $1.1 billion-per-year stake in the NFL's main product.
If that ultimately occurs, it would be extremely ironic. After all, who would think that the network responsible for a fictional portrayal of pro football that was too close to the mark for the NFL's liking would thereafter exercise editorial discretion in a manner aimed at making the league appear that it isn't populated by a certain segment of thugs, wife beaters, and general buttholes

Well gee Gonzo, first it wasn't his car now it is...registrations have a nasty habit of showing who the car belongs to. Burnt.
Well gee Gonzo, reporters tried to reach him on the cell phone and he was "out", then the next call was "wrong number".
Then the clown goes out in a public street and threatens a reporter just doing his job. He showed his stupidity yet again. He should of said no comment don't go on my lawn and locked the door. Instead, he went into a public street in his gang sweats, (notice how they drag on the ground) and threatened a reporter on a public road.
This clown has been dodging the law for quite awhile. This guy is allready changing his story like those killers in Aruba. Understand this with your limited cranium. His car was at the scene of the bust. I bet right now they are looking at his money records.
No, it's not a crime to have a "number 7" embroidered on your leather seats. It might raise a little suspicion if it winds up at a major drug bust. He won't see that car again.
YOU HAVE OFFENDED THE PACMAN!

He loans a caddy to his felon friend at the bust and he has nothing to do with it.
Why not get smug and smell your own farts like in south park. Not every car carries...sound to me more like they would of needed a freakin' Hertz truck.
I doubt that his caddy was able to carry a ton of coke and weed. Your a fool.

This article is hilarious in the fact that doesn't even prove that the car belonged to PacMan. Where is the quote in the article from PacMan that says he loaned this guy his car? Who needs iffy details like quotes when the bastion of ethical reporting profootballtalk.com is concerned. You gotta believe them! This is the same rag that broke the "John Abraham is traded to Denver" story.
Wow.
I can't believe people still read that website.
