T.O. NOT WORKING OUT WITH NEW TEAM
According to the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram, new Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens isn't a regular participant in the Dallas Cowboys' offseason workout program.
Owens' publicist says, "He is here when he is required to be here just like every other player on the team."
That's fine. But as a result of a series of public statements over the past five years from head coaches suggesting that players are expected to participate, none of which ever were challenged by the NFLPA, it has become generally accepted in league circles that players will participate in "voluntary" workouts. Because the new CBA doesn't beef up any of the rules regarding voluntary offseason workouts, 2006 is no different than any prior years.
And Cowboys coach Bill Parcells is no different than his 31 colleagues regarding the mandatory nature of voluntary work. "To [Parcells], it's about chemistry," a source told the Star-Telegram. "He wants you here."
In our view, the Cowboys have no one to blame but themselves. They knew they were acquiring a guy who does what he wants, when he wants, how he wants. Still, they did nothing to protect themselves.
Instead of creating financial incentives for Owens to participate in voluntary sessions (via, for example, a hefty workout bonus in each year of the deal), the Cowboys gave T.O. $5 million to sign and a $5 million salary for 2006, at a time when the 'Boys really weren't competing with anyone else for his services.
Regardless of whether Owens is wearing a Cowboys uniform come September, his failure to participate in the offseason program increases the likelihood, in our view, that the Tuna will perform multiple verbal colonoscopies on Owens once they get together on the field. Parcells is the boss in Big D, and Parcells will do everything in his power to get Owens to concede that fact.
Really, Parcells has no choice. The other 52 guys will be watching this one, carefully. If the Tuna can't tame T.O., he'll risk losing the rest of the team.
That's why we still think there's a better-than-20-percent chance that, come September, one of these two men will be gone.
Here is his musical masterpiece:

brrr whatever, this guy is one of the most physically fit athletes in the ENTIRE NFL. I'm sure his own training regimen is probably twice as difficult as lifting weights with the team. If 53 guys followed Terrell Owens' workout they would be most fit team in NFL history.
People are just trying to find something wrong with him.
These are "voluntary" workouts, you know.

That isn't the point whatsoever. The point is he's allready going against policy. He's allready made a rap song slamming Philly, he's allready missed workouts that everyone else is going to. He's allready pissed off the Tuna by missing workouts. Your a Barroid apologist so it's not surprising you support this cretin either. Fine, it's not illegal to work out somewhere else, but that isn't what coaches all around the league want, period. Add in the fact Parcells wouldn't even show up for the signing and let Jones defend the move, he's washed his hands of the guy allready. I love how all the so called experts said T.O. would be on his best behavior this year. He hasn't made it thru April you fool. It's not a matter of his working out elsewhere, it's the Rap video and the fact he needs to mix into the Cowboy team, something he doesn't want, obviously. You don't get it at all. He's not a team player, and has shown it allready. Listen to the rap song if you don't believe it.

This isn't about TO being in shape people, this is him being a teammate and member of the Dallas Cowboys. He is not bonding with his fellow Cowboy teammates, is being an outcast and going against what Parcells wants.
And I just listened to his song, and wow, I think he wants the money more than the ring.

Actually, he learned it from some guy named James Primm, who's one of the best personal trainers in the country.
TO's a badass in the weight room, i'm not going to argue. BUT since Primm (his guru for the last 6 years) is out of the picture, I hardly think he could do better than one of the best Athletic Trainers in the country, Joe Juraszek.
If he WERE to participate with Juraszek on a constant basis, you would see some MAJOR improvements. The workouts he was doing with Primm consisted of a wide variety of training excersises for overall strength. Juraszek's workouts would be fined tuned to his position on the field as a player.

That what really pisses me off about this "story". Anything the guy does everyone jumps jump and yells look what TO did!
You know why the guy thinks he is the center of the Universe? Because, every time he takes a soft shhitt, everyone jumps up and says, OH My GOD, it a soft shhittt, I told you he was a (insert what ever you think you is here).

What cracks me up is that Tuna has this reputation as a stern taskmaster, when prior history shows that's simply not true. I guess many of you are unaware of the way Parcells and Belicheck handled Lawrence Taylor when they were all in New York. LT barely even practiced with the team. They were mainly concerned with making sure he would be on the field on Sunday and helping to cover up anything that might get him suspended by the League Office. Obviously, we were talking about a different time, when media coverage wasn't so omnipresent, but it was still New York. Everybody around the team knew what was going on.
For that matter, look at Parcells relationship with KeyChain. Overrated imbecile who burned bridges with all his prior coaches. Parcells turned a blind eye while KeyChain initiated a juvenile rivalry with Wayne Chrebet (only to be repeatedly punked by Chrebet over the years). Why were Tuna and KeyChain so lovey dovey anyway? I think it was because they were both media savvy enough to know the press would eat it up. Tuna could enhance his rep as a coach who could handle difficult players and KeyChain showed he could fit into a team concept. It was all bull**** of course. About as genuine as an 18 month long marriage between celebrities. The public is exceedingly stupid, though, and the press easily manipulated.

Cowboys coach Bill Parcells and Terrell Owens have an understanding regarding the receiver's participation in the team's off-season conditioning program, owner Jerry Jones said Thursday. Owens has not been a regular at the "voluntary" workouts, a program that encourages players to work out four times a week and get in 40 off-season workouts. The team was never concerned about Owens' conditioning. However, Parcells prefers attendance for the workouts for team chemistry.

Comparing Lelie and T.O. is hysterical. Lelie wants a trade. T.O. needs to get aquainted with his 4th team in 4 years if you include Balitmore...that went well huh...I'm sure the Tuna is not amused. Ever hear the rookie beaming on draft day saying "I'm very anxious to meet the players and the coaching staff?". That's the point.
This isn't Terry Glen or MeShawn or even Bledsoe, who Parcells saw twice a year. One point well made was how he treated LT, I'm positive he knew he was doped up, but as mentioned, he was too valuable to raise the roof and give the media a sniff of the truth. I do doubt he was really into coke that much, and he might of exagerrated to sell copy. No doubt he's probably just about broke by now.
