Interesting stuff happening in the 2nd Q of this year 2006:
- The entire UN Security Council signed onto "condemning" Iran over their Nuclear weapons program! That's huge. That seldom happens, somewhere between never and seldom. Very heartening to me. Maybe the Big Powers can find a way to impose security on this planet, without trying to delineate their own spheres of influence.
- 2 provinces of Germany have decided to enact new tests for citizenship : http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20060410/ts_csm/otest;_ylt=Aur28cctqAbMN0_EqHA8NFqNe8UF;_ylu=X3oDM TA5aHJvMDdwBHNlYwN5bmNhdA--
- Kuwaiti women vote: http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20060405/wl_csm/ofirst;_ylt=Ard7fDIimGlUEFZ7z7VW7F6ue8UF;_ylu=X3oD MTA5aHJvMDdwBHNlYwN5bmNhdA--
- China and Japan posturing: http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20060411/wl_csm/obeijtok;_ylt=Ao6iucNFmSzj3p6EstCCXH6ue8UF;_ylu=X3 oDMTA5aHJvMDdwBHNlYwN5bmNhdA--
Interesting stuff. Whoooeeee! Things are starting to pop. You gotta have things popping to see change. I'm a big believer in the Hegelian Dialectic, and we're overdue for a new Thesis. Here it comes, folks. Things are popping right now in geopolitics, and that's where the fun is. Geopolitics is the greatest game on this planet, and it's a joy to be playing at the Big Table.
I was hoping things would start popping in geopolitics. This is going to be an interesting ride for about 30-50 years. My advice is make sure your kids and grandkids get superb education, learn how to play the stock market, play hard-ball with radical Mohammedans, don't trust the Russians or Chinese at all, and enjoy the ride.
