it almost guarantees we aren't taking a WR at #15 by brining these guys in

Shanahan can't draft WRs to save his life. I hope to god we don't piss away these picks like that.

Maybe his luck has turned, After missing on several CB's he got a couple last year.

Law of averages finally worked out in his favor on that. I'd rather we didn't try the same with the WR position. I can't see what Shanahan has against bringing in a vet WR. Maybe the Walker thing will go through. Fingers crossed.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Usually the pick is surprised because they've never met with the Broncos. And let's hope that's the case with those WR's.

Leauge rules state you can only bring in so many guys for pre draft visits. I think it may be 20. Also it costs team money to set up special workouts, they only do it for some players and it often has nothing to do with who you will draft.

Are you sure its not his GRANDMOTHER'S Basement...

I think BOB is too much of a :loser: to live in his own mother's basement...

Yeh, I hope we get him at 61, I hope Shanny sees something in the kid and decides to do something better with our 2 firsts than wasting them on JAckson or Holmes.

PLEASE Shanny!

I figured someone like Garcia would have been a perfect b/u to Plummer. I'm still amazed you guys didn't go after him or Kordell Stewart for a b/u spot...

I wasn't aware the limit on team visits was 20...I am aware that each visit is pricey.

It's interesting to note that each player the Broncos have sat down & met one-on-one so far carries some kind of stigma going into the draft despite their obvious talents, Lendale White & rumors of apathy/laziness, Marced Lewis & questions about his discipline/attitude.

I expect the visits with Jackson & Holmes are the more along the lines of the routine eye-ball test.

Judging by Denvers' drafting history, I agree the visits seem to have little bearing on WHO they eventually select.

Very unpredictable bunch...probably why the mock drafts among some very reputable services are all over the map.

Seeing a guy for yourself is definitely the final test. If LW and Lewis said all the right things, im sure Shanny will take a risk on him, as he usually does.

I agree, but I do think the one-on-one's were for the implicit purpose of evaluating the personality of the individual they're considering investing a tidy sum of money in...not to mention the absolute necessity of getting some real & immediate help out of hte people they draft this year.

No more Maurice Clarett flyers I suspect...in any round.

Shanny learned a lesson there imo.

This draft is deep, and their are elite prospects in every round (hard to screw up).:wiggle:

I hope we get impact from our rooks again, with our team deteriorating to age, it is a must to hit on this draft.
