DENVER - MTV is bringing the Real World to the Mile High City.
TV's longest running reality series, currently in its 17th season, has already had New York, London, San Diego, Paris, Hawaii and Boston among its backdrops.
"Denver has absolutely everything we could hope for -- diversity, activities, energy and nightlife," said Lois Curren, Executive Vice President, MTV Series Entertainment. "We're sure that the character and spirit of this picturesque city will be endlessly compelling to the seven roommates and audience alike."
Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper is excited for the exposure the city will receive.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for Denver to showcase our cultural and recreational vibrancy to a very large, young audience," said Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper. "We are excited to welcome MTV and 'The Real World' cast members to the Mile High City."
The show will begin shooting in Denver sometime in spring or early summer and will be broadcast this fall.
9NEWS has confirmed the cast will be living in a renovated building at 1920 Market Street. The building used to house the B-52s nightclub.
Casting for the show has already been completed.
Sweet! Maybe they can come tailgate at a Bronco's game.
Since Denver is a pretty small city, I'm guessing we're going to be seeing a lot of these guys. ESPECIALLY since they're going to be living downtown. Should be a pretty interesting time.

Damn, that used to be my spot, I can't believe the Real Worlder's will be that close to LODO's bar and grill, there is gonna be so much drama in that show.
Well duh, but I mean like bar fights and stuff.

My buddy and I already plan on at LEAST one hot tub party at their place. And when I finally get on the show, I'm gonna be sportin orange and blue.
If the girls are rude, maybe I can give them the rejection hotline number.....hmmmm

The spot they are putting them in, they are going to get harrassed, and possibly maced by the cops every night. Denver is not like other cities where the bars stay open until 4 and people can stagger out as the night progresses. Nope, in Denver every bar closes at the same time and 100s of people are put into the same block at 1:30 in the morning. Traffic is backed up, people are trying to get cabs. The gangsta kids roll through in thier loud ass cars.
It isn't going to be pretty

LOL I know right? Maybe THAT'S the way to get in there. I've got a lot of friends in the gay community, maybe I could introduce them to cast member, then I'd be in like flynn. The girls would love me.:twokisses
Seriously though, Shay's got a point.
Denver shuts down at 145, and then it turns into drunken mayhem on the streets. I forsee some major problems down in their area.

The show was half way cool when it used to cast "real" people now it looks more like a Girls Gone Wild party. Don't get me wrong I like looking at hot girls but dumb, immature drunk kids humping each other in hot tubs isn't a good show IMO.

I call Realworld "Real Drunks". Use to watch the show when if first came out but they are all the same now. I can't believe it's been 17 years.
Funny thing is Disco and I have parked OF1 infront of the ole B-52 bar just to hand out in lodo for a couple hours....lol Nobody knew the difference and figured we were doing some promotion or something.
We might have to swing in there and take the "real drunks" our for a spin on the bus one night. AK1971 :orangepim you'll be incharge of the bar and stipper pole. Disco will do the driving :OF1: and I'll take pics for the Mane. ;D

Meck, all bull**** aside, I would contact MTV productions, and let them know about your Bus, bigtime!! MTV is always looking for whacky stuff, and it is very possible you could link up for some charitable or philanthropic work with the cast.
Go for it dude; no shame at all. Promote that great bus.

It's been 17 shows in 15 years I guess, as I remember the first cast from 1991-92.
That fitness guy Eric Nies' old man, Jack Nies, still works the NBA floors. He was working the Nuggets game last night as one of the refs. Good for him.

I have a funny story about this show..(this will be no suprise to those of you that know her) My fiance was in in the final 10 people to be picked to be on the Seattle show. When she was in LA she told the producers to F off and got kicked off before the show even started!!

I think that show would go straight to DVD as "Too Hot For TV" or "The Lost Episode"

A redhead saying f off to the producers? You'd think she'd be the perfect fit for the "outspoken" roomate of the group. That could have been some serious t.v. ratings ;D

That show has gone down hill! What shows are really pathetic are the road rules vs real world shows! Where people are trying to gain that extra min of fame!

Yeah I would agree Real World has takin a dump the last couple of years, I watched the SF, San Diego, Las Vegas, Boston and New Orleans ones. I find Surreal life on VH1 more entertaining......

I like how they have some people from the original Real World on it every year. They've got to be pushing 40 now. Losers.
and the Read World has always sucked. I can't believe they're up to #18.

I thought Real World Austin was good...I do agree with you but they do have some decent shows example: Viva la Bam, Punk'd, and Boiling Points but that's about it...all this new **** they keep coming out with is retarded...Yo Moma, are you serious those jokes were cool when i was in 4th grade..do the people on the show really believe those jokes are even kind of funny...MTV itself is turning into a joke if you ask me.
