View Full Version : Immigration Rally Economic Impact
does anyone else find it disturbing that today's rallies were to be a symbol of "economic impact" but I still haven't heard of any of the immigrants returning welfare, food stamps, WIC benefits, or any other benefits obtained fraudently or otherwise.
in my school district alone, the absence of the students cost taxpayers a cool $44,000 - in ONE day ...
they want their cake and want to eat it, too, but conveniently forget that their "economic impact" counts both "giving" AND "taking" ... i read an article this weekend that shows that an illegal immigrant TAKES $89,000 MORE from social services & government benefits that what he/she contributes over his/her lifetime.
a child born to illegal immigrants is automatically given citizenship ... to educate that child will cost taxpayers over $85,000 for ONE child if he/she makes it to graduation.
Remember at some point someone's parents in your family tree were immigrants and their children were born citizens of the USA thus that is how your own family became American.

True, however, there's one big difference - my ancestors applied for and were granted citizenship. The children were born to LEGAL immigrants. They didn't need the 14th amendment to grant them citizenship. Big difference.

Sounds like a great deal, also add that they live two families or more per household they have all kinds of extra cash which they spend of killer SUVs. I know it's happning right across the street from my house, very nice people but i know what they are doing.
Their cars/trucks are worth more than their houses - yeah, they've got their priorities straight.

So is that any different than the trailer park resident in the U.S. on welfare without a job? It's only o.k. for welfare to support white people? You know what, I don't want my taxes going to support them either. What is your real problem with mexicans? What are you really afraid of?

They work hard i never said anything about welfare but iam not 100% positive, on a side note by law here in colorado a house must be fitted with extra bathrooms and kitchens to house more than one family. The law is enforced if reported (but iam not a a-hole) nd on a side note i don't like new cars anyways i like working on my own cars and not getting a**raped by car dealerships for minor repairs.

I don't want my welfare money going to anyone either. I'm not afraid of Mexicans either - they're part of my family ... what I (and my Hispanic family members) do not feel is right is that the ILLEGAL immigrants (regardless of ethnicity) are fraudulently obtaining these services. Last time I checked, that was illegal. I could care less where they come from. If you would read my original post there isn't ONE mention of "Mexican" in it.

My bad, were you refering to the illegal canadian immigrants? We all know this is about illegal mexican immigrants. They shouldn't be allowed to collect welfare. Get rid of welfare for everyone, but if they want to work and pay taxes i say let them. I know I don't want to do any of the jobs they do.

and on that, we both agree.
