First regular season game!
Let it be known that TAGS took care of 'ol number 7's request for the Bronco's to start the season in my hometown of St. Louis MO. As he will be free from league obligations he can now fulfill his dream of becoming a member of the Orangemane. No more political correctness from Brother Tags.He wants his name on OF1 with the rest of the greats.Tags fought to make sure the roof didn't pass in KC. No Superbowl there. Great job Brother Tags.

Just got a call from a Broncos fan in KC. He's putting a group ticket package together for this game. He has like 10 people in his group so far and is looking for 5 more. He mentioned the deadline to pay for the tix was May 8th.
I asked him to join the Mane so hopefully he'll roll in here to explain the details.
Come on in Brian......
*edit*......Here is the link to the group tix. It does appear there is a May 8th deadline but it sounds like that is for priority.

For those of you that can stay past Monday the Cardinals will return to the "new Busch Stadium" on Monday the 11th. It's a chance to see a great ballpark and the Card's look to be priming for the playoffs. Here's a chance to see Albert Pujols live, and to celebrate a Bronco win one more day with the Maners.:thanku:

I will be at this game.......
My good friend has a slew of season tix and I have had dibs on two of them since last season when we knew that the Broncos would be coming to STL in 2006.....he may have x-tras, when it gets closer to time I will know for sure....
This should be a great time...I have been to Rams games the last couple of years and they are a lot of fun...the catholic church across the road sells beer and brats at half-time.......gotta love the catholics......
So count me in Meck and I will keep everyone posted on x-tra tix, etc......

I'm not sure. He called me and said he would have extra tix but he hasn't registered yet. I was hoping he would so we could add names to his group list.
He did mention he knows JetMeck and other that post here. I'll zip Jet a pm to see if he has any further info.

Negotiations have just begun with the wife to attend this one. We are already going to Clev and Pitt. I may have to give up my U or Maryland season seats for another trip, but I am considering it. Problem is they host FSU and Miami this year. My wife is trying to convince me to take a trip to a Tennessee Vols game if we do an extra trip, but admits that a week in St. Louis sounds cool. so in summation, I am now a maybe.

I stayed at the Adam's Mark for four nights before. Expedia had a special for $99 per night. Very nice hotel with one of the nicer lobbies I've seen. It's in the middle of downtown right next to the Gateway Arch; and it's within a mile of the stadium. Drury Inn is right across the street, but more money and I don't think as nice. The Millenium Hotel is also pretty nice, but is a little farther away from the stadium. Anything near Union Station is next to the ghetto and a couple miles from the stadium.

Just wanted to let anyone know who is still looking at making a trip to this game that there are still tix on ticketmaster ($44) and that you can get a sweet deal on a downtown hotel w/in a mile from the stadium on hotwire.com. We just got a great deal on a room at the Sheraton by selecting downtown St. Louis only, 3.5 star hotel and committed to $50/night.
I would love to see more Orange in the dome on Opening Day!!! There is no reason to not go to MO for this game, there are even cheap flights on Southwest & Frontier!

My brother and some colleagues of mine used it before without any problems and say it's a good deal. You only get three chances to name your price before it locks you out for 24 hours, I believe. According to them, you can usually get something below their suggested bidding price. Plus, you do not get to choose the exact hotel where you want to stay. You select a certain star rating and then they put you in a hotel within that category.

Ticketmaster, Ebay, outside the dome. Always tickets for Rams games, they don't sell out most of the games there. This one will be simply because of the Broncos are in town and it's week one. Fox2 TV in St Louis buys the remaining tickets on Saturday afternoon so they can show the game in the local market. There has always been tickets outside the dome evertime that I have gone to a game there. Even during that one fluke year when all the mid west became big Ram fans for a month or two.
Alright, I got my tickets sewn up for my return to the Lou. I'm pretty damn stoked, no doubt about that.
Do we have a rollcall yet of who will be going? Meck are you bringing over the big Juice Wagon? I would love to see it.

I plan on going on a scouting trip this week when the Rams play Indy for the best tailgating spots around the ED Dome. I might pick up a ticket and go in for some scouting. They say the game won't be on local TV. So much for the interest in the new coach. But the Cardinals are on TV that night so who gives a hoot about the Rams.

Working with Disco and Meck on where to meet and when. We will have it up on the Mane in plenty of time with directions and everything. Just got a couple more confirms so we are at least going to bring 30 Maners for this. Looking into where the team is staying so we can meet the boys. Have a pic of me with Shanny from last visit here. Also holding a Bud with Al Wilson. Disco and I owned the lobby that night as we meet everyone from Eddie Mac to Romo, Schlereth, Traylor and Griese.
As far as bars, 3am in STL. Right across the river on the "Pleasure Strip" its 6am and POP'S is open 24/7. When you live in the land of the world's largest brewery finding a drink is no problem.Looking at starting the tailgate sometime around 8am. for the noon start. Also talking about watching the Manning game Indy- Giants later that night.

I think we're staying at the Radisson downtown and will have plenty of time to walk to the tailgate in the morning, make it back to our car at the hotel afterward and to the airport for our 6:30pm flight. All is good.
Hell, even the girlfriend is jacked up about seeing her first NFL game. What's good is that she never really followed football so I've brought her over to the Orange Side.

I pulled up a map for the ED and went on a tour of the lots for the tailgate. I have narrowed it down to basically 2 or 3. All are about 5 to 6 blocks from the DumbDome ( I hate domes for anything other than to keep angel food cake moist). 11th and Cole looks like a good spot. Surface lot, good size right across the street from a McDonalds and TV station KDNL. You can't miss the big tower. I left messages with a couple of the radio stations promo depts to see if anyone is doing live remotes from the lots. I would prefer to be close to the action but this is the Rams and STL. Not Denver.
Saturday we are going to have a get together to watch CU - CSU and iron out the final details.

I had a conference at The Millenium for five days a few years ago. It is fairly inexpensive for a downtown hotel and is worth the price from what I heard. I actually stayed at the Adam's Mark, which is about two blocks closer to the stadium, but a little more expensive. The Millenium is about a mile from the stadium and you'll walk through a couple blocks of public housing to get to Union Station, though I didn't have any problems.

The spots we are looking at are just west of the Dome. The Adams Mark is a bit of a walk but since we have great weather that day it won't matter. Parking on the street is FREE on Sunday so if we get a couple vehicles in the lot the rest can park on the street. We plan on setting up early and then I am planning on taking my Harley to the team hotel. We are working on something very special as the team leaves.

Bronco tailgate parking: Lot is at the Top of the Landing "laclede's landing". The entrance is directly north of the Ead's Bridge at 3rd st and Washington Ave. Landmarks: Fat Tuesday's Restaurant is east of the lot on the Landing, Interstate 70 is west of the lot. The Dome is north/west only a few blocks away. Look for the Bronco flags! If you get lost, call: 314-707-3238 "ol #7"

We are bringing soft drinks (I don't drink in front of my kids but don't have any problems with others doing it--just a rule the ex and I follow) and can contribute some chips as well.

T-minus 159 hours and counting, people.....They told me it was $20.00 to park there. The top of the lot where you drive in is reserved for season ticket holders; it's part of their package. the bottom of the lot near Fat Tuesdays (On Lacledes Landing ) is at the bottom. That's general parking. If you don't have a lot of stuff to bring and your at a downtown hotel you could hoof it and get the blod flowin of catch a cab for about a 10 spot and have them drop you off.

Best spot downtown Al Hrabosky's or Paddy O's. They are almost right across from each other just a rocks throw from Busch Stadium. I believe it's just south of Busch. Checked out Hrbosky's after the Card's game and the place is really cool. Tables inside and out . Maggie O'Briens or Calicos if you have the kids with you. Anyone has dish and sould have the game on. Just ask and they will usually switch.
PT's Sports Caberet across the bridge if you like the cheerleader in your lap experience. Right Disco.

Yesterday the wife and I fired up the Harley and took a day trip. We went to my fathers home town a little farm town in Radom Ill. This town has about a hundred people, No cars on the street 4 guys playin cards in the only bar in town get the picture. We turn down a little side street and see a house with a huge Bronco flag flyin ouside. Drove by honked and gave them the salute. Stopped by my uncles who I haven't seen in probably 10 years and asked him who the Bronco fan in town was. He said it's his son !!
Freaked me out. He has a Bronco helmet painted on his basement wall and everything. Right on Greg. He has his flag out before me. In a small farm town Bronco mania is still going strong.

Since alot of people are asking about CU "my guys" and CSU "Disco's guys" I say have everyone meet at Hraboskys. Disco and I have an engagement that afternoon so we MAY be down later. So we need someone to be the point person for this segment. It just entails being there with something Broncos or Colorado on and any Maners that want to can meet there watch the game.Sound good ??

As of now, we have (drum roll please) right around 70 Broncomaniacs who are coming to the game. Counting up the posters and those we know from St. Louis. A true testament to the power of the Mane. Special thanks to Taco for running the site that makes this possible. Thanks to Meck 77 for bringing the tailgate tradition back. Many pms go back and forth and Meck is always willing to help in anyway. We learned from the Master so thanks Meck.
You started this thread and even though you may not make it I may have to wear shorts as a salute to you.

BUT we told you so. We're tanned , rested and ready for some friggin football.

This just in from Disco:
He called in to state that he was driving down Arapahoe Rd near Potomac, not far from Dove Valley, when guess who blows by him in a brand new Mercedes SUV? None other than Denver's quarterback of the future, Jay Cutler. He couldn't see who was in the passenger seat, but believes that Al Wilson was riding in the back. He might have got a better look, but apparently they were 'haulin' a$$' down the road. They must have been hungry.

The only cheap fares I could find were out of Colorado Springs on United Airlines. The crazy thing is that you have to change planes in Denver. Last price check was $226.00. The same flight directly out of Denver was over $500.

Alright people........leaving Denver to head to Lambs country at 0500 hours, I hope the Fox station buys the rest of the seats in order to show the game on TV in STL. That way all can see how we take over that chunk of S*** dome that some call a place to play football. We have a meeting with Charles Robinson Saturday night to go over a few minor details.

I've replied to a few messages on this thread...I dont have my game ticket yet (I will just scalp at the gate) but I fly in about noonish. I plan on watching a bunch of the college games at Hrabosky's and there should be a bunch of people that have replied that they will be there early too...It's going to be a big gig, and I'd like to be able to hang out with some great fans...P.M. me or otherwise, I'll be at the bar on Saturday with prominant Broncos attire!
