That put's a lot of pressure on you guys at home against Cincy, it's always tough to climb out of a 0-2 hole.

No more pressure than we had last year when we raped the Jets.

Herm and Shanny ended up on oposite ends of the spectrum last year.
No more pressure than we had last year when we raped the Jets.
How might I ask, is playing Cinncy, an up and coming playoff team ,comparable to playing one of the worst teams in the league last year?

The Jets were a playoff team before they got raped in Arrowhead.
And need I remind you, the Chiefs just got finished raping the Bengals in their last game.

I hope you aren't trying to say Herm is on the same level as a coach as Shannahan. Edwards has a lot to accomplish before he can even make the same breath.

That's not what I'm saying.
But if you're going to sit here and say Herm sucks because he got raped on opening day, well you have to apply that same criteria to your own head coach.
Herm also has more playoff wins than Shanny in the last five years.

No he sucks because he has a 39-41 career headcoaching record.
Shanny also has 6 more post season wins as Herm so nice try.

So was it due to this that you "raped' them? Or was it because of their coach? Or was it just because your team is that much more superior.. which is it?

I also love how bob says on "two days rest"... like KC is going to have a extra week to plan for the game...

Herm is frustrated I'm sure with the defense - like teaching a playground full of kids how to fight a war - it just doesn't work.
I love our match ups and look forward to another rookie RB laying tracks on that shotty azz effense.

After watching Hall get that TD last year the Broncos need to focus on staying within 20 yards of recievers streaking to the endzone.

Chiefs had a pretty good run defense last year...just a bit inconsistant.

Exactly, when it mattered most they let Tiki have his way. I hope KC does well this year but they aren't getting 2 wins vs. the Broncs and if they win at home it will be another close fiasco of Denver losing the game, not KC dominating/winning.

I bet they tie the series again. Although don't be suprised if you guys walk into Arrowhead and get a total thrashing...it happens to good teams.

So uh, who's overlooking the week 1 matchup....I know I just forgot who we play!
ZachKC
04-06-2006, 02:45 PM
Hopefully the home game against the Bengals for the Chiefs ends like the last game did last year.
As far as overlooking the game for either team. I don't think it can happen with week 1. As much as one OMer was enjoying trying to convince me that a week 1 game could be a trap game.
Hopefully for Denver's sake you folks have learned not to overlook teams in week 1.

Broncos never beat the Dolphins so I was worried about that opener agianst them last yr. The thing is that Chiefs and Broncos almost always split. Don't expect to beat Broncos in Inveseco. I can almost garauntee Chiefs wish they didn't play Broncos first 3 weeks of season in Denver. Just like Broncos wouldn't like to have to play in KC very early in year.

You are saying if hypothetically you knew you were going to lose a game you would rather lose it late in the season?

I think hypothetically you don't want to play a big division game early in the year on the road. I remember a few years back Vermiel not being happy about openeing up in Denver. A loss is a loss so early in season or late in season none of them are good. I do feel however that it's best to have first couple games of season either agianst non confrence teams, or if a division rival hopefully at home.

They were coming off a playoff season.
They were nearly identical from a roster standpoint.
How is that any different than Cincinatti?
Who's the retard again?
