The league plans to hold off scheduling Sunday night games in 7 of the last 8 weeks--just as the playoff races heat up--to ensure the best games are played on NBC (no longer on ESPN).

I like it! No more games that dont matter i.e. Green Bay vs Philadelphia last year if I remember correctly.

Finally they get it right.

This is something they should have done doing a long time ago.

On the surface, it seems like a pretty good idea. However, it could be a logistic nightmare for fans who plan to travel to games. People have to fit games in the budget and make sure they get time off from work. It's a mess.

The fans don't matter. They make their money from t.v.

:yep:

I for one love it. It does suck for fans that go to the games tho...........

but if they were planning to go on sunday anyway, its just later in the night............but i guess that screws with traveling......

How do you figure, instead of a early afrernoon or late afternoon Sunday kickoff it will be an early Sunday evening kick off and you will know a week ahead of time.

This will screw us out of towners if they change our game at the last minute. We have a club in KC that meets each week so this will be fun to have 40 people sitting there waiting for a game that has been rescheduled so to speak by the NFL. Some places do not have the ticket so I do not like this idea, like planning ahead.

A week ahead doesn't work if you get your airline tickets/hotels as soon as the schedule comes out!

You will have no chance but to schedule the extra day off

Something else to cost the fan more cash.

Extra day, extra meals, extra hotel...that sucks!
Not that we don't do that anyway...but for fans just wanting to come in for the game and not spend the extra time.

I get Sunday Ticket and don't get to go to games so I don't care but it seems to me that for the few people it inconveniences the vast majority will benefit greatly (seeing a good match up for half of the season) so it is a good thing.
