Bill Williamson, of the Denver Post, reports the Denver Broncos could open the 2006 season on the road against the St. Louis Rams or Cleveland Browns.

Browncos return home would be a good opening weekend story.

Yes, and good incentive for a tough road game ... unfortunately
for Cleveland, there is no reciprocal incentive, except maybe Rueben.

I don't know about everybody else, but watching "Big Money" Warren
against the Browns in Cleveland is quickly shaping up as my #1 thing
to look forward to ......

Warren is a stud DT. Shanny pulled one over on Cleveland when acquiring him. He's one of my favorite Broncos. He's wide and extremely athletic with quick feet and a great ability to get upfield or hold his gap.

He's said some unflattering things about the way that franchise goes about their business. It's time to see him give them what they deserve ;D!

dosn't matter. we'll kick the sh1t out of both teams any way. but It would be cool facing the browns if I had to pick between the two, just cause the browncos and drougns situation.

I would rather a non afc game first week, you know what happened last year. I would rather start clicking before facing somewone in the conference.

I don't think they'll burn the NE/Denver game in week 1 although I wouldn't complain with getting either the NE or Cleveland game out of the way early. Especially if the NE game is in Foxboro. Both Cleveland and NE could be wretched in December. St. Louis will be a "W" anytime next year especially in a dome. They suck.

I'm not sure where we play NE and i'm too lazy to look. Anybody know?

my word, read the graph above, it lists all our opponents in two categories away and home, it shows the ne game as away

If thats the case I would love to get either cold December game out of the way early in the season. We've never really played well in cold weather cities in December. NE would be nice first week matchup for CBS and National TV.

I imagine that the NFL will try to burn that one later though and we start on the road at Cleveland. Still a very dangerous team especially with the unit they are assembling. That team probably will finish 8-8 but they are going to be hard nosed.

Rams for selfish reasons.

Me Too....if the Browns game falls in October, I'm probably going to make it, if it's in Sept. then I'm screwed.

Last time the Broncos opened IN ST Louis, we dropped a shootout. Went 11-5, lost to Baltimore in the wildcard...friggin Shannon... The season we had st louis in denver, we beat them, but went 8-7 the rest of the way. I dont care who we play week one. These Broncos are not those Broncos.

:Broncos:

We need to get New England out of the way. It will be much much more winnable in weeks 1-9.

I heard Denver might get Seattle in game 1.

Bad way to start the year...
