Just a heads up...

I'm doing post-production/mixing and sound design for a bunch of Fox Sports shows. Hope some of you will tune in and check them out. Maybe some of you are already watching...

Poker Superstars III

Third season. I just started mixing the show 3 shows into this season. Great show, great players. Pretty aggressive format, which makes for a lot of all-ins, big bets, etc. Most of the top names have (or are currently) playing. (Ivey, Hellmuth, Sexton, etc.) ... and before you ask, no.. I honestly don't know who wins. They don't tell us. My money is on Negraneau, but we'll see.

Speed Poker (By Mansion.net)

This debuts this weekend. It's actually a pretty cool format. I was skeptical at first, but after mixing a few, I really like it. There is a "shot clock" on the players which makes people think quickly, but not so quickly that it's stupid. There are two dealers, "all in chips" and a few other interesting ideas. Kind of a slick, hipper format... but actually fun to watch. There are some big names, but more up and comers. (Though, there is a high rollers episode with all the stars)

Anyway, PS3 is on every Sunday and Speed Poker debuts this weekend as well. (All on Fox Sports) Times all vary by region.

Just wanted to give a heads up, as I know there are a ton of players here, and we'd love to have you tune in and check them out.

shot clock poker sounds very interesting as i saw it on the commercial. With so many sites you have to do something different.

I haven't seen the commercials, so I'm not sure how they sell it. But, like I said... it's not so fast that it's silly. It just keeps the pace up and makes some players think a little more quickly than they'd probably like to. The guys who came up playing on-line apparently do well in that structure.

Do you know who is commentating? I think Lederer did in the past and made it quite enjoyable

Yea, you guys are right. Chris and Howard are the regulars, but Annie Duke sat in for shows 3-6. From 7 on... it's back to just Chris and Howard.

Lederer IS really a walking poker instruction manual. Pretty interesting to hear him break things down. He's really into it, too. He'll go into stuff even deeper, off-mic, sometimes. Chris is very up on the game, but still learning... so he's always picking Howard's brain. Chris is actually co-hosting Speed Poker, as well.

Actually mixing show PS3, show 8 right now. There are some classic confrontations involving Hellmuth. He's such a crybaby.
