Bucs offensive line coach Bill Muir was in Los Angeles for USC's Pro Day on Sunday and viewed a jaw-dropping workout by Winston Justice. The 6-6, 320-pound tackle posted a 39-inch vertical jump and lifted 225 pounds 38 times. Tampa Bay almost assuredly would have to move up from the No. 23 spot to draft the Trojans lineman.
Rather interesting

I agree. This guy looks like a dominant player.
I dont think he'll slip out of the top ten after his workout.

Yep. He's a basketball type of athlete in an OT's body.

Bills have a hard on for him. Maybe Ngata will slip? or possibly Bunkley...............
Man this draft is awesome!!

It's freak. VD had 33 amd 38 reps is insane.
Give me VD and this kid.

We could go SOOOOOO many ways with this draft. The more guys who move up, the more who slip to us. There is no way I wanna see Shanny pass up on Ngata if he lasts to 15.

If you knew anything about the draft, you know that wouldn't be possible.

You don't know. We could trade draft picks or players. You don't know anything.

It's not impossible, but it's very close to being so. Davis and Winston are both top 10 picks. We would have to scrap whole parts of our team to get enough value...

Well he was taken 21 in our mock but I can dream.
Making a move to get VD then seeing Winston drop a few spots would be unreal.

After only one full year of starting? No...

I think Foster is a solid player, but he can definitely improve. It's usually the third year where lineman start to pan out. I think Georgie can reach the upper-tier of OT if he sets his mind to it.

Winston's stock rising can only help Denver and hopefully a few LB's bar Hawk rise into the top 14. Maybe just maybe a gem like Cutler, Bunkley, Ngata or Huff drop down to us at 15, saves whatever ammo we may need to move up and grab an elite player.

That would be the ultimate Bronco wet dream but my reoccuring nightmare is where we're picking at 15 with Bunkley still on the board and Tags calls out some **** we've never heard of.

"With the 15th pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select...John Doucette, TE, Memphis."
----------------------------------
Kiper, "Uhhh...What? Ohh, Doucette (6-1 7/8, 257) ran his 40s in 5.05 (with) and 4.99 (against). He's got good...ummm...strength and body control. My gut tells me they selected him because he can run faster against the wind than with it."

You rarely see long armed OTs pumping out that many reps. The guy must have unreal top strength. I guess the only negative was a pedestrian 40 time of 5.2, but that crazy vertical shows he's plenty athletic.

I'd say we're about 50-50 on 1st rounders in the last 10 years and all the hits were on defensive players; Mobley, Pryce, Wilson and DJ, failures were Middlebrooks, Nash and Delta, the verdict is still out on Lelie and Foster. Ash has to step it up this year or he'll be playing his football elsewhere in 07 and thus will be considered a miss.
Another interesting fact is that out of Denver's last 14 1st rd picks only 4 have been used on offense and not one has been a standout player for the Broncos.

I think Shanny drafts to his system on the offensive side. He tends to feel that he can plug lower drafted guys in and make it work. Which it has to an extent.

Which answers my question as to why all of a sudden everyone has us taking not only 1 but 2 offensive players in the 1st round. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see us landing defenders again.

Vance was a 3rd pick in the 2nd rd. Depends on people's views I suppose. How much of an impact did Sewell, Nattiel or Willhite make??? IMO it was Chris Hinton because he landed us John Elway.
One could argue that Denver have never drafted an offensive stand-out player since the early 70's when they took Odom and Armstrong.

This has also been backed up by little comments he made at his recent interview with reference to RB's and OL.

Linemen in general, but its usually short armed guards and DTs who churn out 35+ @ 225.

Which basically means we have to find 2 WR's in the next 2 draft's or FA.

I wonder if any of these 300lb+ lineman that throw up 225lbs 30+ times have ever used steriods? I highly doubt it. :)

I would think if you threw up 225 pounds even once, you might want to schedule an appointment with an internist.
