The military is also working on a bullet that can be programed to explode (much like a grenade) at a certain distance.

Basically an enemy is hiding behind a wall and you can't shoot him so you find out the range (the M-16 has a range finder on it and the range finder can talk to the bullet) and the bullet will explode at teh range you want thus killing the enemy.

IMO this is just another example of our military spending milions of dollars on crap it doesn't need. Military industrial complex defined and yes I'm a republican.

I saw a show on that it was pretty cool they showed in slow mo a bullet going through a window above a dummy laying on the floor then exploding a fragging the crap out of it.
