Say Denver draft's pope, Denver could line DUKE and Pope up as WR and put Myers or another T/G/Warren at TE and another at FB. Jump ball to either side is an option or just a power run. Think it would work?

maybe, seems like you would be practically telling the opponent the play though. It's easier to defend if you knwo what's coming.

Yeah but if you have Duke who can jump high and pope who is 6 7 that would be a huge mismatch. I remember the fade's elephant stampede formation with Crocket and ritchie and a bunch of OL that was unstoppable from 1 yard even though you knew it was coming.

Lendale White would be a nice goaline back, ala randy jordan, but white can play all game long, white would get 1400 yds behind our line immediately, he would wear down teams in the 4th quarter

I still like the idea of giving the ball ot Warren at the one.

I don't see why it has to be Warren..
I say we find the biggest, baddest mofo on the team who can hang onto the ball and just give it to him inside the 3. Maybe that is Warren? Maybe it's an O-Lineman. Foster?

Give it to Al Wilson. I don't think he'd let anyone tackle him.

Not give it to warren but have him lead block. I guess you could give it too him one time all year.

I like having Dunn around in those situations in KC.

With his hands??? dear lord no!
I'm as bigger fan as there is of Rhino, but his hands must have pig skin repellant on them.

Let Warren lead block for BVP off tackle. Then after the faders see the same formation that we used to beat the chefs near the goal line, this time we use Warren as decoy, Plummer pitches it right to Bvp where he has option to run it in, or throw to Rod on shallow crossing pattern... 8')

Man, we really need the draft to get here because we are starting to lose our minds.

I'm perfectly sane...I thing we might be able to pick up Ryan Leaf for only a 12 million signing bonus....
OK...it's obvious we know we have red zone and third down issues. I was excited when we ran Warren in front of whoever, bna dhe basically boliterated aome linebacker.
Sapp is still developing his blocking skills, Warren can just blow a hole. Then Dayne can run thru it.

This thread is so desperate and pathetic....ROFL!
I love talking X's and O's. I wish we actually did that more often. I like the fact that the Broncos got OT Carswell more in the offense with tackle eligible. It was a legitimate threat. I think House got three touchdowns one game? It was almost getting funny.
Warren is all hustle. I think it would be funny seeing him pound one in.
Duke and Pope in the corner? It also loosens up the underneath for Plummer to walk it in on a roll out. I don't know about Lindale but Dayne is on the roster. Hopefully he worked it out during the offseason.

Our red zone and 3rd down issues were mainly in the air. We converted a lot of short yarage situations last year, but when we had 5 or more yards to go to the goal-line or the 1st-down marker was when we struggled - that's where we need to get better.
I am a little concerned about the loss of MA in those short yardage situations, however I'm confident that either Dayne or a younf fullback like Sapp can step up - it wasn't just MA last year, the improvement of the interior line was the main reason we were better.
I think overall, though, that we were actually OK in red zone offense last year, it was the year before we were struggling.
