Bingo!! Talk about mortgaging your future. You have the chance to draft at least two impact players and you get none. I am not worried about that happening though.

Very poor for many reasons. I get tired of all the "managing Jake" crap. You don't think Big Ben was "managed"? If VY or Davis fall at all, (seems VY is falling and Davis won't go any higher), either of those with a first and second might make sense. I'm pretty happy where we are, but I am almost positive there will be movement.

Down to about a month now. Only 3000 mocks left to laugh at. I have seen about 3.

Then, in a couple of years we'll get this, "I always knew Matt would be the man. Smartest move Shanahan ever made. Woohoo!"

Think about this .... Kubiak/Casserly cannot possibly trade away the #1 pick to the team he just left! It would look just wrong! He doesn't want to strap that albatross around his neck as his first major personnel decision ....

Thinmk about it: Every single week the Houston media would prominently tallies Reggie Bush's performance for another team ? ? In kube's face?

No, I wont lie after the fact. I admitted I was 1000000% wrong on MoC, I didnt try to qualify any previous statements or anything. That was way off.

And Im not going to claim I "sorta liked" Leinart either if he does well here or somewhere else. Im firmly convinced that he is merely an mid round talent and not more than an average NFL QB prospect. If im wrong, ill man up....I just highly doubt I am misreading this one.

LOL

this has to be one of the worst mocks I have ever seen. I am not very active on this board, as far as posts go, but I check it everyday. I am, however, very active on a NFL Draft forum. and this draft sucks. like, bad.

1 - Leinart is not a good pick. First of all, do you know how much we would have to pay him to sit on the bench? I doubt we have enough cap room to even sign him. If we do trade up to the first pick, you can Expect Mario Williams here. Leinart doesn't make any sense.

3 - Titans pass on Vince Young? doubtful. You can pretty much pencil in a QB for them. Since Leinart is off the board, they will either take Young or Cutler.

12 - Browns run a 3-4. Ernie Sims doesn't fit the 3-4 very well. He's way to small to play an OLB in their system. Maybe he could move to inside, but either way, its a bad pick here.

13 - Ravens have two of the best corner backs in the league in McAllister and Rolle, Who spends their first round pick on a nickle back? bad pick

14 - Eagles LenDale white is a good player sure, but i don't think they can pass on Bunkley here.

26 - Bears DeMaco is late 2nd round pick, and the Bears have no need for an OLB, they have one of the best LB core's in the league. bad pick, with Pope still on the board, he has to be the pick.

35 - Jets, ok this is bad twice. First, The jets have zero need for a TE with Jolley and Baker on their roster. and second, Lewis is not anywhere as good as Pope, yet he gets picked before him. This mock is horrible.

You get the point, I could rip almost every pick, but its not worth the trouble, this really is one of the worst ones I've seen, and theres been some pretty bad ones.

We did hear that Denver is very interested in getting Matt and they don't want to be under cut by the Titans, Jets, or Raiders! That's why they snuck into the Falcons - Jets trade, to move up 14 spots! Pretty smart though! And yes, they do like Marcus Vick, but they don't want to get bit in the @$$ again, like they did with Maurice Clarrett!

Ok let me say this I am not against taking a QB but i dont want us to piss 3 first round picks off to do it. Now if by some chance(and it is one hell of a chance) one of the three (almost made it 2 but if i totaly kick young out and he bites me on the ass later what can i say) makes it to #15 then take em. Always go with best player available.

Knowing the way Shanahan has been fleecing people lately, I wouldn't be suprised at all that we get *Very Close* to the top spot with something as little as this year's #15, next year's 1st rounder, and say somebody like Tatum (or some other position player)...

That would still give us 2 #1's this year...

I can see that because several (not realy in a row) drafts have always picked the player i realy didnt want. I have always hated Clarret and we took him. In my mind a few years ago i was hoping very very hard to get K. Jenkins then like a year later i was realy hoping for E. Reed, no matter how i like em the front office always goes a different way. I think that we turned out ok but the front office and shanny always reach, now is a good time to stay put and reap a few rewards but since it makes since it probably will not happen.

I actually "heard" it a month ago and "saw" it like 3 times before his article. Before the Atlanta - NY trade, the Broncos supposedly contacted the 49ers about trading up to the #6 spot.

So, it wasn't Mr. White, in the bedroom, with the rope!
