Man what a stressfull day ,I get the call , water broke , I am in Holeyoke Colorado on my way to goodland @ 5:15 pm , I got into Goodland Kansas @ 6:44 pm , dropped my trailer called the wife , the Health 1 Jet just got to caper and it was off to the races , comming through fog , 176 miles away I beat her here by 15 minutes ....... No sonner she gets here and her come thebabies emergency c section , @ first the babies are not doing well , I didnt let the wife know i was worried walked out into the hallway and broke down like some bítch , gather myself up and go to the Chapel and I actually prayed , well here it is 1:30 am and the babies are doing much better , still not out of the woods , but doing alot better ................ I am sitting out in front of the hospitial right now in my rig Ha! ...............

She is a soja , she is afraid of being druged and not being aware of whats going on with the babies ........ she realy hasnt had anything since they numbed her for the c section , 2 doctors came up and tried to get her to take some vicodin , she told them no , and if they are realy that worried get her some aleeve ;D

Just got back from visting the babies 2 girls are already eating ,the boy is eating but not as much and all 3 are off the ventulator .........the girls are completly off of oxygen , and the boy is getting very little .......... got to hold Hannah today .......... we will be leaving tomorrow , wife will head back down thursday , I will try and get some runs heading down denver way so I can vist also ............

My Daughter was a premie also though not as small as your twins. I wish you and your wife the best! Sounds like what they say about girls developing faster and being stronger than boy premies is true. My sister had twin Premies & she noticed her son needed more help than her daughter with O2 & more trouble with Bradycarida's while eating.

Anyway make sure you do the Kangaroo thing where you put the kids on your bear chest so they feel your heart beating & can bond with you. I miss that the most, after they come home they don't sleep like they do in the hospital. It helps them because they are supposed to still be in the womb & hearing your heart & breathing reminds them to breathe.

I also miss bath time, you get it times 3 so enjoy bud!

I hope there are no set backs. There were some real bad cases in the ward when we were there, we had a few problems & Abby had to stay for 6 weeks but we made it through. It sure was hard for me to leave my daughter everynight but I learned how to do everything including how to insert the feeding tube, they never let me do it on her Thank GOD!, just the practice doll but I was ready. Only other hard thing for me was the premie CPR class, not sure how I would react under real pressure...When we got there we did what ever was on the schedule to do, feeding, baths, swaddling, what ever they would let us do. I hope your other kids are old enough to go back in NICU & see them also.

You better invest in some Baby Einstein dvd's! The baby's love them, my daughter still plays them.

Enjoy every minute, at least with 3 babies you & the wife won't have to fight over who gets to hold one! We had a tough 3 weeks before Abby was born but I would not change those 9 weeks for anything. I still have the picture of her in the incubator on my desk & she is a healthy 3 years old now.

They are still in ICU , as mock pointed out , they are under 3 pounds and 2 months early , they can only eat a tea spoon of food through a feeding tube ..They have about 2 months in the hospitial to go yet before they come home ......worst part is we are 300 miles away from them.........Talk about pain .....

Be careful Spider. Emotional, Financial and Mental exaustion are a real factor. Take it easy and don't push. Cruise don't drive. People scared or upset are much more likely to have an accident. The babies are being cared for, just get some rest.

Just like today , I unloaded here in Casper @ 7:00 am , left directly to Pine Ridge south Dakota , got there , the trailer was sunk in the mud , so me and a house mover lift it back up on jacks , by the time the trailer up , they canceled the load , so I droppped the trailer and busted ass back to Casper , hoping for a load in the morning going to Evanstan Wyoming ..........

Man what a stressfull day ,I get the call , water broke , I am in Holeyoke Colorado on my way to goodland @ 5:15 pm , I got into Goodland Kansas @ 6:44 pm , dropped my trailer called the wife , the Health 1 Jet just got to caper and it was off to the races , comming through fog , 176 miles away I beat her here by 15 minutes ....... No sonner she gets here and her come thebabies emergency c section , @ first the babies are not doing well , I didnt let the wife know i was worried walked out into the hallway and broke down like some bítch , gather myself up and go to the Chapel and I actually prayed , well here it is 1:30 am and the babies are doing much better , still not out of the woods , but doing alot better ................ I am sitting out in front of the hospitial right now in my rig Ha! ...............

im so sorry i missed this until now.

Wow! They must be doing well to be moved. Glad to hear it dude. Has to be hard on you guys with them so far apart.

I know when Abby was in Loyola they didn't want to discharge her. They kept promising us dates & then they would hedge & we would end up having to leave her there. So finally one day I walked in with the baby seat & told them we were not leaving with out her & they caved & called the montior people & discharged her after a few hours of reviewing her chart & realizing we did everything we needed to for her to go home.

I hope it gets done for your families sake.
