It was on the last segment by the Food Critic. Summary Basically he was very confusing when he first signed on- rookie learn curve big time. That Brewster is really really pushing him, and by the end of the year he was starting to get it. Gates told him to keep at and follow Brewster instructions. Said the number 84 meant a hell of lot and he knew that he had live up to the standard. And that he was focused on moving forward because he knew had great opportunity on hand.

Just caught the last half where he talked about how it was difficult it was to wear number 84, and then they asked him if he ever looks back at how great a season the Broncos had, and he said he does not have time to look back. If he looks back it will be less time for him to keep working. He said he has to keep going forward so he can make many more plays next year.

I wonder if he'll be starting at some point next year.

TY guys!!
I am real high on Duke. I hope he can be a major player for us next year. Sounds like he is working hard, and playing more football in NFLE will only help him.

Did he say he's eating like 6 times a day to put on some weight?

Working NFE can only help him...we will see. If he's not starting in Europe, at least he's learning the game and not overworked Ha! We will just have to see. Denver made some good coaching moves.

I don't believe he'll start often, unless the Broncos open games with a 2 TE package. WD will be a regular contributor - starting this year may be a year too soon.

yeah, I like duke. I want him to start and really don't know why. I mean it's not like me to say start this person after one TD catch. that's what he did. one td catch. that is all he has done for us. we don't know how good/consistant he is at catching, blocking, or routes. but for some reason, I think he is going to be good here. especially with brewster as his coach.

If he plays, I don't like that he isn't starting over there.

That's awesome. Gates is a cool cat. He's my favorite AFC West rival player.

I hope all of our TE get more involved in the offense next year. I doubt Duke does anything until late in the season. I don't care what he does in NFLE. I keep hoping that Nate Jackson shows some signs of life. I guess if they draft a TE we'll get an idea of where things stand with that.

Yeah but he plays more than the "starter", at least he did last game. Just because he isnt listed as a starter dont mean he doesnt play.

Duke is listed at 6'5 225. If he has decent speed i wouldnt mind him being a WR. He could also add some weight and be a decent TE.
edit: NFLE has him at 6'4 230.

it's always possible that duke could turn out to be a prodigy, but i'm not banking on it. and if nate jackson were going to show up, he would have done so by now. can you say vernon davis w/pick 15? god, i hope he falls that far.

It takes a while for those basketball players to quit crying foul and get down to some real titty fighting. Go Wesley!

We'll see. I'd probably be the only person not surprised if he doesn't even make the roster. Cases like Antonio Gates just don't happen. Brewster or no Brewster.

Duke is gonna be one worn out dude come end of training camp. Maybe Den is looking at TE in round 1,2. I thought Putz had plenty of skills, but the O under Kubiak never hit him up the seam in the middle, and for that matter the O never hit a post to a WR either. I'd hate to see the Broncs spend a 1,2 on a TE if there already is a guy on the roster that can make plays with a new OC, plays that the O never seemed to try at all.

Mine's LT.
When he turned down the money to stay with the Chargers, that sold it for me. I will forever like LT as a person and respect him as a player.
As far as Duke is concerned. If he's so great, why is everyone clamoring about drafting a TE? Im not sold on Duke. Putzier and Alexander started ahead of him last year, that should tell you something.
