Notice how quiet it has been on the Ricky Williams situation?..

That's not by accident folks....the NFL screwed this one up and they don't want anyone else commenting on it....not until they reconcile the situation

I am hearing (and I believe it) that Ricky will win his appeal...

I know we made an offer to Jamal Lewis (so I heard) but Shanny hasn't forgotten about Ricky....

When he wins the appeal we'll trade for him (prolly a 2nd rounder)..and sign him to a cap friendly deal....

that will sovle our RB situaton and we'll still have 2 1st rounders to do as we please (hopefully trade them for mario williams)

I've been teased enough this off-season with talk about Ricky, Jamal, Edge, TO, Abe, Carter, Moulds, Walker, our cap situation, etc. I'm not falling for it again.

I heard Walkabout is sleeping with the Pandas' in some remote area in China and won't be available for any further drug testing until summer.

I'd love to see ricky win his arbitration regardless of whether or not we trade for him. A 2nd round pick however may be a bit too much. But if he is found to have not failed a drug test i think he will have a good year somewhere.

No kidding ... all RW is worth is the compensatory pick we'll get in the 3rd round (yes, the one we CAN'T trade). That's all I'd be willing to "give up" for him.

Id give them a 3rd... nothing more.

But I would definitely not be opposed to bringing on someone like him on.

That's all fine and dandy, but isn't he under contract? A scheduled test that is missed is the same as a failed test. This guy is a total loon and totally likely to fail yet another test. He only came back after feinging bankrupcy then trying to save his signing bonus. People that want to sign this mental case are mental themselves.

Do you also think it's possible you will be completely healed (from your Walkabout lockjaw problems) before his appeal?

Reading all the brotherly love and mutual support on this thread for teh man has lead me to one conclusion: I remember why I am trying to forget about Ricky Williams.

If anything were to happen, that would not happen until after the draft, and would likely involve picks from next years' draft.

I don't know but maybe you can sell me some of that coke you scored from your lover Lewis, that could help the pain.

It will be even worse when Williams gets cleared to play this year. But hey atleast you will have your morals and your standards that you live by still LOL

No Einstein. I don't have a vested interest in any of them.
TO would have helped us, I was indifferent about Lewis.

BUT, I get some pleasure in watching my comments send you into a flying rage. You're so easlily led that you're actually somewhat entertaining in that aspect.

Thanks for the reminder, qcver ... you're right, it is quiet on that front ...

How about instead of a 2nd rounder - we sign Moulds, draft Chad Jackson at #22 ... and trade Lelie for Ricky ? ? We know Shanny was shopping Ash to the 49ers a few weeks ago . . . .

I really hope we have forgotten about him. I just dont want him here. Bell or Dayne will get the job done. OR even a rookie.

That is a pretty good set up there. If Denver could get Moulds. I still think there is a chance that Denver can get Walker.

If Denver could get Williams than they could concentrate on DE, TE, and WR in the draft.

Of course if Denver could just trade for Walker than Denver could concentrate on DE,TE and RB in the draft.

This is why I think Denver needs to make one big impact FA signing or trade. If they did it would simplify the draft immensly for them.
