he actually is pretty smart apparently
He is a guy who I think we could snag in the later rounds and he would do really well, he has a bad rap on him b/c of his alcohol and beating the snot out of his friend while drunk
but he took some classes and got better..yadda yadda
anyway, he'd be a good guy at DT

Dvoracek in the later rounds would be a dream come true, but this kid has solid first day status. We could hope though.

its absurd that there EXIST ppl in college incapable of getting a 20(I should say 30 but that might disqualify too many ppl).

Yeah, I would love to hear a conversation between Vince Young and Shawn Taylor...

"Are you sure, I thought it was the other way around... "

Devoracek comes from a well-to-do family and he's grown up with a lot of advantages. A kid like this could go either way. He's obviously smart enough to know right from wrong. You can't teach hunger, though.

We see eye to eye on this one! I wanted Dan Cody last year and would gladly take Dusty this year.

If that happened no one would blame the student - they would blame the teachers.

I would blame neither. I would however fail the students who weren't able to get a 30. we need to start failing more ppl anyway.

I agree ... students aren't held accountable enough. And when they are, it's still not their fault.

its really the only responsible thing to do as a society anyway.
its really the only responsible thing to do as a society anyway.
Responsible and society in the same sentence is almost an oxymoron anymore. Everyone gets second and third chances in school, on the job, etc. Why should anyone do things right the first time? That enabling mentality has undermined the quality of work and effort in the American culture over the past 15 years or so and it's getting worse.
So much for integrity and someone doing his/her best because it's the "right thing to do."

well there is plenty of effort in america.
though I see we agree that it is irresponsible to attempt to set standards for things a person should learn and then never ask that they actually learn them.

Position: QB Number: 10
School: Grambling St. Height: 6'1
Status: Senior Weight: 260
He is a player at the quarterback position who posses some excellent upside and ability
He is a quarterback I have been privileged to watch in game action only a few times, who possess excellent pocket presence and awareness along with a brilliant football IQ, who throws a tight spiral with excellent placement on his balls, which allows his receivers to gains extra (YAC)
He is a pocket passer who looks to throw first and scramble out of necessity secondly, he has a good knack for keeping his eyes down field even as the pocket is collapsing, and who is willing to absorb oncoming hits by defenders to complete passes upfield
He also has the uncanny ability to shuffle his feet inside the pocket to avoid incoming rushers to complete passes, with the arm strength to throw all the necessary throws, including an assortment of side arm throws, causing defenses to defend the entire field
He has the versatility to throw inside or outside the pocket very effectively, with the ability to extend passing plays with his feet, and he posses the quickness to avoid would be tacklers inside the pocket to scramble and make valuable yards down field
However, it is urgent that he lose a good amount of weight and improve his conditioning if he is considering to have a career at the next level, if he were to dedicate himself in the weight room and tighten his body up, he could be a real steal for a NFL team!
Anybody get to see this guy play? Were would you draft him?

3 players I like are Devoracek,Gogong and Garrett Mills. Mills could take Putzier place as a Hb and take Sapp roster spot and come in at te in passing situations.Mills could be a player like Chis Cooley from Washington and the Broncos could draft him in 5 round. Gogong had a great combine and has great closing speed from what I saw in East-west shine game. Gogong could be the pass rush specialist the Broncos are looking for and a good 4 round pick. Devoracek could be a pass rush specialist at dt and would make a good 2 round pick.

Greise doen't even have half the physical atributes or accuracy as Leinart, and Leinart is 10 times the LEADER greise ever was.
I love your logic though, find one positive quality amoungst all the detrimental qualities of an individual and use that, without support, as the reason he FAILED...

I know no1 likes this but griese in all likelihood will be chicago's starting qb very soon. he's won the starting job 3 times already and this will be his fourth. its a rather interesting career of beating out other quarterbacks.
