Maroney measured in at 6' 1/8 in. 215 lbs, ran one 40 which was a 4.47, had a 35 1/2 inch vert. 10'3" long jump. Benched 225 21 times. He did not do the 3 cone drill.

Now, he's a guy I wouldn't mind in Denver. Is a perfect fit and has very good size. A solid option at #22.

He'd look really good at #22

We have a tailback that split time last year, and still rushed for 950. With Ron Dayne also. Why waste a first rounder on a position we have depth at? We gotta use both picks to try and get an impact player that gives us something that we would otherwise not have without him. How about a WR as Rod is old, and Ashley is in the last year of his contract. Our Safeties are old and the backups are suspect. Our center is old, and we could use a stud G.

DE is obvious enough.

RB is not where we need to go in the 1st round.

There are no WRs worthy of one of our first round picks IMO. 22 might be too high for Maroney but he would be damn good here. I am not sold on Bell or Dayne being the answer. A stud RB in this draft would give us something like we had with Davis and Portis.

We don't have a guy you can count on for 25+ carries a game, and Shanny wants one. Yes, we always have an effective, productive running game, but a stud like LenDale, DW2 or Maroney will take the running game up a notch. Were you impressed with the running game in the two postseason games? Me either.
