Easy one for me is Simon Fletcher. Almost 100 sacks and got screwed being moved to Defensive line for a few years. You can even put Castille up there just for his strip against the Brownies.

Castille? Joke?

Tell me brother!
by the way it is a total joke that Simon Fletcher is not up there yet, Stink, Rulon Jones are some others

Fletcher, Rulon, Uphurch

Zimmerman is in already BroncoCaliJohn

The borderline guys from the super bowls I'd put in after awhile are Crockett and Romo. I know both ended their careers in disgrace playing for horrible teams, but they were pretty damn good while they were here.

Shlereth, yeah .... and how about Alfred Williams?
Next to #7, he is Mr. Football Colorado!

He accomplished the very rare 4-for-4 feat (maybe nobody else ever has) of:

1. All-America first team (University of Colorado)
2. Won a National Championship (University of Colorado)
3. Was fisrt-team All-Pro (Denver Broncos)
4. Won (two) Super Bowl (Denver Broncos)

I know Broncos Ring has nothing to do with CU .... but that 4-for-4 is amazing.

Alfred only played 3 years with the Broncos and was cut in 1999

Fletcher is the most under appreciated Bronco. S/B on ROF and maybe HOF. I met him a couple of times. Very humble with a low key sense of humor.

I'd agree with Fletcher becuase he consistently produce year-in year-out with double-digit sack totals most years. Nevertheless, he never made it to the pro-bowl either. Does anyone know if he was ever voted all-pro or anything like that?

Fletcher's sack totals were great, but I've never seen him as a great player. He was a pretty good strong side run defender as well, and a very good pass rusher. Awful in pass coverage and he did split half of his career as an OLB. Throughout his career he did line up as an End on 3rd down, but he was forced into coverage on alot of 1st and 2nd downs. And I struggle to remember anything of significance in Pass Coverage.

Steve Foley should be up there in my opinion.

All time Interception king and a guy who played high levels at both Corner and Safety. Incredible ball skills and maybe the best Defensive Back tackler in our team history. Great tackling form, a spark plug and a real tough guy on a pound for pound basis.

His performance against Cliff Branch in the 77 Championship game is one of the most storied performances in Broncos history, for those that remember the complete post merger history of the team.

As I remember it, Fletcher was drafted as a DE from college, but we played predominantly 3-4 for most of his career, so he was an OLB who played with a DE number (#73) - just like Mecklenburg (#77, although he moved all around the front seven before playing out his twilight years as an MLB)

Mr Fletcher's stats for y'all

We switched to the 4-3 in 1994 I believe....looks like that killed his career, but he was pretty old for a DE by then so maybe it wasn't just the switch back

at 240 lbs he was a little light for the line of scrimmage...

Kip Corrington of course.

Rubin Carter. He quietly did the dirty work for over a decade at nose tackle.

I also want to put a post-career vote in for Trevor Pryce. I know he's not the most popular guy here these days, but I hope the organization doesn't forget the contributions he made. He's the best homegrown defensive lineman since Rulon Jones.

I'd say that other #7, not named Goose. He may have been buck toothed, and crapped the bed 3 times causing us more embarrassment than any fan should have to take, but since I GUESS he finally didn't choke, they should put Horseface in the ring of fame. But not before Kip Corrington.

If they are not an obvious choice, they don't belong in the ring of fame.
Obvious are players like Elway Rod Smith Shannon Sharpe. Those are no brainers. We are discussing guys that might have been forgotten by the common fan. Face it, if Charley Johnson is up there at a time that we were happy with mediocre players, then there is room for guys that arent as obvious.
