View Full Version : States Repudiate Bush

The collapse in public support for Bush is extending across the United States, even reaching into staunchly Republican areas, according to new state-by-state polls. Bush is now viewed unfavorably in 43 out of 50 states, including double-digit net negatives in SC, IN, VA, TN and his home state of Texas. Bush also isn't likely to have helped himself by admitting that he expects to leave the Iraq War mess to his successor to clean up.

At least you could post it in your own existing thread.

Whatever you need to tell yourself to feel better.

There's always going to be an enemy to fight who wants us out of their region. It's never going to be economically feasible to close our bases and bow out of the world policing business.

That's a good point.

Conservatives and GeeDubya supporters are people with high control needs and people who always seem to feel compelled to police others (for example, ClevelandBronco would like to be in the discussion forum policing business) so it's not hard to understand why they applaud the state of affairs you described.

Wrong thread. Put down the bong.

…Put down the bong.

Or is that kind of a command too highly controlling?

It certainly might be construed as trying to control your high, so maybe it's high controlling, if not highly controlling.

Wrong thread. Put down the bong.

tsk tsk

There you go trying to be the arbiter of which thoughts go where again.

You're lending support to my observations about conservatives and their control issues with each passing post.

BTW, I know this might be a difficult concept, but did you ever imagine that perhaps a thought expressed on one thread might (*gasp*) also be relevant on another thread?

I'm still waiting for one of your thoughts to relevant in its own thread, chief.

That's because "relevant" means one thing to thinking people and something entirely different to those in the 34%.

Put down the bong.

Or simply swap the bong out for Jay-sus like some folks we know...

On behalf of the 34% who have already achieved thought, we encourage the rest of you to continue to try thinking. We're behind you all the way.

Yep - when I think about the NASCAR dads, snake handlers, and snake oil salesmen who constitute that 34% who have chosen to go down with the S.S. GeeDubya, phrases like "the best and the brightest" immediately spring to mind.

:D

On the other hand, when I read your post above, that old expression "neurotics build castles in the sky, but psychotics live in them" seems more appropriate.

LAFF, believe it or not, I genuinely like you. You remind me of a guy I used to be and it's always fun trading barbs with you.

But tonight I have to go to bed. I have a rare morning meeting tomorrow.

Sleep well, sir.

here is where LAFF drowned himself in his imaginary Jacuzzi.

Now why would I want to do something like that?

It's not like I'm part of the 34% who foolishly hitched their wagon to the Smirk & Snarl Train.

:D

Your post should read: "This is the part where CB, unable to accept the humiliation and agony of GeeDubya's fall from grace, drowned himself in that infamous lake (on which that infamous mistake was made.)

It's all good, homey.

BTW, you can be that guy again - it's never too late to renounce the dark side.
