15. Denver
(from Falcons) Kamerion Wimbley DE/OLB Florida State 12th (-3) 12th / 18th
Making the trade with Atlanta and New York gives the Broncos a pick in the top half of the first round and a chance at Wimbley, arguably the draft's most dynamic pass rusher. With both the 15th and 22nd overall picks, Denver is also in prime position to trade into the top five should it fall in love with an elite prospect.

Is that true? If so why would he drop to 15, I don't follow college ball too closely so I wouldn't know.

Any thoughts?

Any thoughts?Wimbley is dynamic off the edge, but weighs 230-240 at 6'5" and would be a liability against the run early in his career. I like him for the Broncos, though. I think we can afford to sacrifice a little run stuffing ability to get sacks. I miss sacks.

Wimbley is projected late first!! 15 is wayy early IMO, im hoping we move up farther and get MArio, or hope BB falls.

You know, just looking at that mock, there arent many teams up there that would prefer to draft a QB. The Titans could look at one to replace McNair, the Jets recommitted to Pennington, the Pack chose Rodgers last season, the Fade signed brooks and are grooming Walter, Arizona would want one of those three QB's, the Ratbirds are still working with Boller, the Browns could be interested...

Why don't we just forget about the Florida State no-gooders & get L. White or C. Jackson. Wonder what the move up to 15 was really for...

Is it just me, or are the Broncos in desperate need of playmakers on offense?

They have Shanny passing over DeAngelo, LenDale, and Maroney for Wimbley and Jason Allen.

Id throwup for weeks straight with Wimbley at 15.

These guys need to put in some effort and a little rational thought before they put together mock drafts.

Amen. I'd probably shoot myself if that happened. There are linebackers bigger than him. (Damn close.)

It kind of looks like they, said "hmmmmm, everyone has pretty much the same mock, lets just pick players ot of a hat!"

F Allen, anywhere in our draft. Apparently, he's strongly opposed to playing safety in the pros. I wouldn't say he's a Denver safety either, as he's not the strongest in run support...

NO WAY!

Look I am a FSU fan and Wimbley is a OLB in the 3-4 or pass rush specialist like Robert Mathis of the Colts. He is NOT a top 15 pick for RDE. Period.

Bunkley on the other hand...

That is one screwed up mock. Tell you what: I don't think Bush will be the pick for Houston. In fact, I think the Texans are torn between Williams and the Brick. If you look at need, the Brick it is. That would shake up the draft from there. Start from there and see who you end up with at 15.

I thought the same thing and my friend told me I was an idiot. I told him that they don't need another running back, they need help on the line. He told me "If you had a crappy line and Warrick Dunn and you had the chance to sign a killer left tackle or Ladainian Tomlinson, who would choose?" I kind of conceded his point.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kubes surprise some people.

I don't really think this was part of a plan. It's more like, someone walks up to you on the street and offers you a fiver if you give him three singles. You take the deal. We got the fiver and only gave up three singles.

that mock is completely jacked. there are so many things wrong with it that i am not even gonna make a list. main problem though. No way will LenDale White be the 32nd pick. he will be gone by 22 at the latest. And i hope he gets taken at 22. Go Denver

If the choice is to get a 'tweener I rather take Manny Lawson at 22 than to take Kamerion Wimbley at 15.

What is Shanny's history makes everyone think he's going to pick a RB in the first round? He has never even shown the slightest interest in doing so before, why would he now?

To me, it's the fact that he was apparently willing to either trade for Ricky Williams or sign Jamal Lewis.

I read that Shanny was looking at Chris Perry in the first round of the 2004 draft if we didn't trade up with Cinci.

He was looking at a lot of players in round one. Perry would have been one of them. Just sit back, and chill out. Draft is gonna rock.

What is Shanny's history makes everyone think he's going to pick a RB in the first round? He has never even shown the slightest interest in doing so before, why would he now?

plain and simple, the fact that he is tired of capable substitutes and back ups as his starting runningback. He wants a back that will destroy the opposition, he wants a new Terrell Davis. A workhorse who can pound the rock 30times a game and tire out the opposition's defense in the forth quarter. He is not going to find that type of back late in the draft and he doesn't have that player on the roster right now. So don't be surprised if with the 15th pick he takes LenDale White. That is the type of back that is needed in Denver again. A back that can do that would almost guarantee Denver a 13-3 record and would carry them through the playoffs. I mean i love Plummer in Denver, but look at this years playoffs, they got in and the running game basically disappeared. Plummer needs the running game to help him in the playoffs. Shannahan finally understands that TD was a rare find and chances are, he will never find someone like that late in the draft ever again. So he knows that with first round picks one of those could be used on a great RB that can carry the team to the Super Bowl.
