Griese was doing quite well with the Bucs before he busted his leg.

Guess they thought Grossman would need a rehab partner on the IR this year...

Yeah there is no place for smart, accurate QBs in the NFL.

Hopefully he does well. I think he will.

Go SOB!!!

He's a very good QB, unfortuneatly he seems to make mistakes at the worst times. But he's very solid.

That contract is 5 years too many.

Wasnt Griese Suppose to be the Bronocos Savior?

Savior? Isn't that a player that gets a team over the hump of not winning Championships?

Oops, Chief fan. You wouldn't know much about that. Never mind.

I thought the Bears wanted a QB.

I was hoping he would come back to Denver. I really liked that guy, hell he had an amazing 2000 season, if he didn't get hurt things could have gone a lot different.

Damn....I was hoping Griese would sign with KC.

Good move by the Bears.

Can't really rely on Orton IMO and Grossman can't stay healthy.

I think Griese found his role in the NFL...the best #2 QB in the league that everyone wants if they don't trust their #1 QB.

Greise has always had the advantage of working with offensive minded coaches who could create a game plan that complimented his abilities. Don't think he has that in Chicago. He's going to struggle.

I am with SoCal here. I have always been an admirer of Griese. I wish him the best at Solider Field even though his arm won't get along with the strong winds there.

He'll never be a Bronco ever again - unless the Broncos get a new coach and a new owner. Griese NEVER endeared himself to his teammates.

This isn't a bad move by the Bears. Both Orton and Grossman are young QBs and can learn a little bit from the veteran...

There's always a place for "smart, accurate QBs" who choke in the clutch and fade away down the stretch:

It's called Kansas City.

I wish Griese all the best.

He's got a good coach, an excited team and a city behind him win or lose. I think the fans will warm up to him. Bears front four on defense are a beast. They should rip a page from the Vikings season last year. All the Bears need is a LITTLE offense. Griese has been around the league and could pass on a lot to a protege. They have a pretty solid running attack. At 31 years old this could be Brians last stop.

Does Mushin Mohammed come back for another year? Goodbye Jeff Blake. They need another quality WR.
