Why is everyone so down on Cutler? I think he's a stud. I'd take Cutler over Leinart.

If they moved up to take Cutler I'd put my foot through my television. He's been the most overhyped player in this draft.
I could live with it if it were Leinart or Young, but no f'n way on Cutler.
This guy sounds smart. That is funny how things have changed in 2 years. Neither Leinart or Young are starting and both are benched. Meanwhile Cutler is tearing it up on a powerfull offense.

Not really. I wish the Broncos the best talent in the world. It makes the rivalry better. 1997 was awesome. So was 2003.
Rivalries are always better when both teams are good. If the Chiefs find a franchise QB, the Cutler/Joe Montana III duels will live in infamy.

My dream draft with these two picks would be Lendale and Tamba.
A 2.6 YPC RB and a 0-sack DE.
Nice.

Vernon Davis & LenDale White
Mario Williams (package both picks)
Vince Young & White
Any of those combos would be fine with me.

I have no ****ing clue. I've barely even started studying up on the draft prospects this year.
I'm assuming we'll have a new head coach. We may just make a trade for a veteran. Who knows, Leinart could be a Chief.

The reason rookies don't impact our team is quite simply because Shanny never plays them, they always sit out a year.

We had better not do anything more with our two first rounders. And if we take a QB somebody needs to shoot shanny.
How ESPN will know a month before the draft when Shanny won't play his hand this early is bogus IMO. This is just a smokescreen.
Here is another gem.
broncocalijohn
10-07-2008, 12:27 PM
I would like the Broncos to use their sixth round pick on Drew Olson, QB, UCLA. I think he's the sleeper of the draft. He's smart, has a good arm and excellent accuracy. Blew his ACL and MCL his junior year but recovered nicely last year. I believe that any deficiencies he has could be coached out of him by Shanahan & Co. He'll never be a vertical game QB, but IMO he'll make an excellent WCO QB if he gets in the right coaching situation.
Now you know Rohirrim is working as a scout for some nfl team. I hope it isnt our team!

This was the start of Shanahan drafting who we thought he would. When this was leaked I considered it bogus simply because it was leaked and Shanahan rarely did the obvious thing on draft day. Anymore that isn't true. In '06 it's leaked that we're going to draft a QB and we do. In '07 everyone predicts that we're going to take Jarvis Moss and we do. In '08 everyone thinks we'll generally go offensive line and specifically take Clady and we do.
Anymore Shanahan takes who he is "supposed to". It didn't used to be that way, but it is now and this news was the beginning of that.

If Mike drafts a QB on day one, I think he'll go for Brodie Croyle of Alabama....but QB isn't a problem. We need a playmaking safety and an edge pass rusher on D...and a playmaking WR on O. Mike will draft a playmaking TE before he drafts a QB.

People tend to forget that the Broncos were coming off of an appearance in the AFC Championship game just a few months prior to this draft and many (myself most definitely included) wanted them to go for the guy(s) who could help them right away in areas where they were deficient.
Doesn't change the fact that I missed by a country mile on Cutler, but guys like Ngata and Bunkley made sense under the circumstances.

No more than when Taco screamed and hollers like a little catholic school girl when we drafted the revolving door known as Foster.
NO one picks these things accurately all the time and throwing a prediction back at someones face when it comes to the draft leaves your own ass wide open in the future cuz sure as Obama will ruin this country, you too will be wrong. :)

Young needs alot of development but there is huge upside there.
Cutler I havent seen too often, just a few times. He certainly was good at the combine.
Leinart's a 3rd round talent I think, way overhyped.
But I dont believe any of them will fall ala Rodgers. All will be picked in the top 10 and im glad for that, since it would be beyond stupid to go QB with all our needs.
