Is he healthy enough to still play? I thought last year he spent most of it on the sideline.

He played every game last year. Still--what are we going to do with him?

I'm a little shocked. You guys are Bronco fans. Why would you want a 400-pound slug that hasn't been able to move for about five years now?

Hes better than whitley as a backup.

You know it'd be a bad move if there's a Chief's fan trying to talk some sense into us.

Larry Allen might suffer a coronary in the thin air of Denver.

Larry's alot closer to 400 than 300. He's a fatass that doesn't fit your system.

LISTEN TO ME.

You do not want Larry Allen. He's not mobile. He doesn't file Denver's profile.

We could use a fatass in the red zone.

The current starter at RG is a blob who can't get out of his own way.

Old and his best days behind him. The perfect Al Davis signing.

LA can still play, he's not going to get out on the perimeter and whifs on 2nd level blocks, but he burries the guy lined up in front of him. He completely owned Shaun Rodgers when I watched that Cowboy/Lions game.

Dallas was able to sacrifice him with the mobility of Bledsoe.

I think Larry Allen was around during Moses' exodus out of Egypt. We don't need him, even for depth...

Hell he is the father of Woody Allen. What came before dirt? Larry Allen can tell you.

Bob's right about one thing. He doesn't fit as a Bronco lineman.

I'm curious what brought this cut on? Did signing T.O. get them over the cap?

When a supposedly talented player under contract is realeased, there are usually onlytwo possible reasons:

1) His cap number for the year is too big and he won't restructure
2) He's physically done - career over

if its 1) then we will have trouble sigining him, if its 2) the other teams often sign a guy to the vet min in the hopes that there is still something there, but usually they are disappointed (Raylee Johnson anyone?).

Add to that there is a the question of style - he is one of those big guys that doesn't necesarily fit the way we do things here.

That's what I'm thinking. Allen was arguably the best lineman of his era, but he's definitely well on the downside. It would be nice to have one legitimate road grader up front, though.

I think Foster takes a big step up this year. He played injured and it slowed him down some in '05. But with Cornell Green pushing him for playing time, a healthy Foster will be the in line power blocker that we'll need for short yardage situations.

Exactly, have a road grader for situational plays/GOALLINE/3rd down conversions would be nice.

His cap number was over 7 million this year. The 'boys have around 14 million after signing TO and releasing LA. He's still a good player, but he has lost a lot of mobility. And people keep saying they are going to release Ellis, but I don't see it. His cap number is just over 2 million, and he fits well into the rotation.
