Bill Clinton held the job as the most powerful person in the world. Now he's being mentioned as a potential successor to Paul Tagliabue as the most powerful person in sports. Clinton is well-suited to the process NFL owners will begin when they get together in Orlando next week to begin discussions to select Tagliabue's replacement. It's going to be very political.

They'd never be able to keep him and Hill off the cheerleaders.

Just keep him away from the cheerleaders (and cigars)

I think it should be someone young (40s), clean record, and a business guru. Not a politician.

Maybe we can get Cheney in there, and pre-emtively invade the NBA.

If Cheney was in charge, we'd lose and the nfl would belong to David Stern.

I'd say the job should go to who ever was Tags right hand man. Keep the ship going in the same direction that it has been going.

Tags pretty much took over where Rozell left off. I want the next guy to do the same.

Howard Dean....AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! That party is becoming a joke. The put a madman in Dean in charge.

Clinton will be busy propping up a hopeless cause for Hillary. But in fairness, Clinton, if he wasn't selling Hillary for 2008, wouldn't be a bad choice because he's a decent negotiator and can put on the "charisma". I'll take him over Gene Upshaw which would be tantamout to selling your sould to the Devil.

I would hire Bill O'Reiley...Ha! "Goes into the next negotiation and says 'this is a no spin zone'"

i think Hillary supports the Idea of Bill being commision so she can focus on her own political agenda. The job will keep him busy and will not steal her thunder at politc rallies. Solve the case of using Bill or not using him on the campaign trail. Plus the job will help pay off the legal debts and sorts.

Tags is in the paper more than Hilary is. What makes you think Bill "I am an attention whore" Clinton wont be as visible as Tags was?

I was saying if she doesn't use him on the campaign trail then people will say she is distancing herself from him and his legacy. And if she does use him on the trail he energizes the crowds more the she will ever dream of doing. And people will say it looks like Bill is running again in lieu of Hillary. Look at the recent funeral where Bill and Hillary spoke at. He received a heck of a standing ovation where during her speak people looked uncomfortable. So in a neat little package the commisioner job solves this dilemna for her. Sure he might be in the papers more but for other reasons.

Noting will help Hillary.

She wont be President and all she wil do is waste other people's money if she runs.

On that note, I hope she does run. Gauranteed to keep those whiny democrats out of the oval office for another four years.

I think his name is Dorrell. Impressive resume. Knows all the ins and outs and all the people. There's also guy named Henderson who would be the first African-American commish. Maybe not such a bad idea given the make-up of the league. :afro:

Clinton? He'd probably create some sort of free trade policy that ends up putting the league offices in Mexico City.
