David Elfin, of the Washington Times, reports the Washington Redskins and the New York Jets were believed to be in talks to complete the trade of QB Patrick Ramsey to the Jets for a 2006 draft pick late Tuesday, March 14.

I guess that would kill any trade between the Jets and the Falcons, maybe the Broncos aren't out of it yet.

been expecting this one for awhile so...
1. Houston-Bush
2. New Orleans-either traded or Mario Williams
3. Tennessee-Leinart or D-Brick Ferguson
4. Jets-Cutler? Young? AJ Hawk? Chad Greenway? Seems like they got the three with Chad, Bollinger and Ramsey I don't see them going for a QB
5. Packers-either Hawk or Greenway
6. 9ers- Vernon Davis-Jimmy Williams-Jason Allen-Chad Jackson-Santonio Holmes it is really open for them
7. Oakland-Chad Greenway-Jimmy Williams? Tye Hill? Vince Young? Cutler? (gasp) Leinart??? Mangold?

The Redskins have no leverage in regards to Ramsey. It's obvious that they don't want him, and have no plans to use him. I read/heard at one point Tuesday the deal was pretty much kaput...the 'Skins wanted a 4th rounder and were being offered a seventh.

We should swoop in and offer a 5th rounder for Ramsey and either keep him ( I think Ramsey has way more upside then BVP) or, trade Ramsey and a 2nd rounder for Abe.

Ramsey is immobile and been shell shocked by the old ball coach and mental beat down by Gibbs he worth a conditional 7th at best

It seems like the offseason moves everyone else is making is pushing people down the draft board. I agree it's a little frustrating not getting any of these FAs, but it might help us out getting a stud or two in the draft...
