Grant Wistrom? With Abe going to Seatle for a visit, it makes you wonder what would happen to Bryce Fisher or Grant Wistrom. Bryce is going into year two of his new deal and Grant has been there a few more years so I would think he would be the one on the chopping block. Just wondering what thoughts would be on him. Sorry for the thread :)

Best to be able to rotate fresh bodies on the D line. If I'm Seattle, I keep them all as long as I'm reasonably comfortable with the cap figures.

I want Greg Ellis from Dallas. Ellis is good for 8-12 stacks a year plus is solid against the run. Draft a player like Manny Lawson to come in for Brown on passing downs.

my theory is this. we trade the 22nd and 29th pick, and well as our third rounder, to the Saints for their 2nd overall choice, and draft Mario Williams

I think we'd have to fork over substantially more in compensation to the ballclub than what is fair since he just got a huge signing bonus (i think it was around 14 mill) like last year or the year before. They are going to want something substantial for having to give him up AND having to eat that bonus acceleration.

Rotoworld thought they might release either him or Fisher if they signed Abe. Really the writer said he doesn't know how Abe would fit there. Im sure they would rather get something in return then just cutting him. I honestly dont know how much bonus is left, also I think he has a base salary of 3.5 mill this year and Im not sure if the team feels thats too high for him. All I know is I would rather have him then Abe.

Wistrom is not the pass rushing threat that Denver needs...

Ellis has never hit double digit sacks in his career and hit 9 sacks one time.

On Wistrom, he's hit double digits once in his career and had only 4 sacks last year. He also signed a huge deal with Seattle a couple years ago. Denver just got rid of their Trevor, they don't need to trade for a new one.

I think he had 8 last year, but his cap number is just over 2 million I think. I don't thing the Cowboys are getting rid of him.

How do you come up with 8-12? Ellis has never gotten more than 9 sacks in his career.

Grant Wistrom is a hell of a player. I would love for Denver to look at him...

In every discussion that involves this kind of personnel/cap knowledge, I grant my proxy to SoCalBronco. If he says it's right, it's right. If he says it's crap, it's crap.

When Pat Bowlen is in the mood to sell, I hope SCB gets right of first refusal.

I agree. Unless the subject is Ian Gold. :deadhorse
