He was pretty humble, but did make references to how the Broncos defense is "uptight" and the Ravens defense has a "tradition" of being really good. He said that he really doesn't care that he's no longer a Denver Bronco and kept talking about how "first class" the Ravens are. He also said that in Denver's style of defense they only do two things. Either everyone rushes in or everyone drops back so it's pretty predictable and the DT get beat up a lot. He also wasn't sure if he'd been to the Pro Bowl 4 or 5 times. That's about it.

I watched this interview. He seemed to whine the entire time. Course we wanted you trevor, but you are not worth 8.9 million a year for four sacks.

$8.9 million was just the cap savings the Broncos got for releasing him. His actual cap number this season would have been over $10 million.
Even if he was worth it, they couldn't have kept him at that number.

Seems like a dig, like he didnt have great defensive tradition in denver? Sorry buddy, its always been about our linebackers. You know this.

The thing that made me laugh was when he said that him and Mike Anderson; when things are cool that they will be recollecting on how it is so much better than denver's coaching staff and front office in so many words. Im sorry Trevor but your coach almost got fired this year and took ass chewing from the gm or owner in front of the media in the final press confrence of the year. I hope he gets is ass handed to him when we play them this year.

Funny how one year ago he talked about not wanting to be "passed around like trash" and now he's taking parting shots at the organization that once awarded him the largest contract in NFL history for a defensive player.
Whatever. Enjoy Baltimore.

We are digging here for something to hate about Trevor. Every franchise does that once a player leaves. I wouldn't read to much into Trevor's comments.

Sarge and Pryce up next on NFL Network (press conference).
Pryce says biggest reason he's in Baltimore is because Shannon told him to play there (great organization). Said he talked to Eagles, Browns and Dolphins. Says the Broncos told him he would finish his career in Denver
Sarge says he's as excited as his rookie year. Says the Ravens have a class organization. Says he will do anything that is asked of him.

Add to that When Shannon told players to go to the ravens, they still had good players and Art Modell.I think players that played for modell loved him and Modell was a good owner to his players. I think that's why Shannon loved Baltimore so much, that and he made a best friend... Ray Ray. The Ravens are not the team they used to be.

I am not going to hate on Trevor no matter what he says. Things happen and players have to sometimes deal with some pretty nasty things in the process of getting paid good money. Trevor wasn't worth the money he was asking and basically didn't deliver what he said he was going to deliver so the Broncos didn't deliver on their end. He has a right to feel hurt I am sure.
The Broncos did beat him up a lot this past season. He is right our defense really is stripped down despite our intentions of getting to the QB we are more inventive in execution than we are in getting to the QB. There was no real way to use Trevor this year. It was time to go. That has to hurt.
Anderson isn't used up, spent or a bad player. His value diminished because we didn't need him as a backup fullback with the emergence of Cecil Sapp and solid play of Kyle. He wore down toward the end of the season and no matter how you slice it Broncos need to get back to one guy as the running back threat for sanity sake.
My hope is the draft yields up some positive surprises. I would be giddy if...naw... I don't even want to say his name.

Pryce is a class stand up guy and you can tell he is pretty intelligent. If your a Baltimore fan he said all the right things. He left Denver because Denver didn't want him not the other way around.
I think he is going to have a great year in Baltimore.

The Baltimore Ravens rescued Pryce and Anderson by essentially giving them the same money the Broncos didn't want to pay them.
"Our team decided to let us go first," Pryce said at the Ravens' news conference. "I was like, 'Everybody kept their guys for a couple days.' It was more embarrassing than anything else. I go to the bowling alley, 'Oh, you don't play for us anymore.' I was like, 'Get out of my face.' It was awful, man. But, everything happens for a reason."

Folks keep saying that Trevor wasn't worth the money he was asking. Yet, the Broncos never sat down with him and discussed a contract. He mentioned in the same interview that he was scheduled to recieve a contract offer yesterday from the Broncos, but wound up being cut instead.
I'm not going on record saying whether he was worth the money or not. But I will say that this is the annual bash the departing player kinda stuff that I see every year.
I can tell you without a doubt that if I were to say something negative however, that it would be met with comments like...
Trevor won us a Superbowl.
I'm not just cracking on the Denver fans either. The Chiefs fans do the same thing. Players are expected to have all the loyalty. But teams are expected to have none.
Perspective is somewhat skewed when it comes to players once they leave the team. Trevor has every right to say what he weants about the Broncos, just as the Bronco have every right to go in whatever direction they want to.
After all, Trevor has to re-establish/reprogram his loyalty to a new team.

I have no problems with what Pryce said. Obviously he was upset, but he got a great deal from the Ravens to make up for that.
The only time I have problems with a leaving player is someone like Gold who the Broncos did say they wanted to back and offered him a contract, but then he left anyway and didn't even allow the Broncos to match any contract he would receive in FA. His high demands ended up scaring teams away and in the end he had to settle for a one year deal with Tampa to play out of position and out of his depth.

What a hyprocrite ... the Broncos did Trevor and the other two guys a FAVOR for letting them go early. If the Broncos had waited, Treveor would have been bitching because he missed out on all of the mad money being thrown away.
Trevor's comments just confirm the fact that it was the right decision. He should have been grateful the Broncos kept him for so long. He should have been gone two seasons ago.

2.5 million per sack simply doesn't cut it. What Baltimore pays him is of no consquence to me or the Broncos. We needed cap room and when he and his agent said they would restructure by pushing it back, that was unacceptable and the stone was cast. We don't want to play the Dan Snyder back to the future stuff. He will pay the piper eventually. I don't know what he's whining about, he got vastly overpaid. And I agree, it was a FAVOR to cut him early so he could get the early money. We could of waited and really screwed him while the easy money was snatched by other players like Moulds is going thru.
