What disease is that?
He has <a href="http://tinyurl.com/kbw9g">Meniere's Disease</a>. I know a lot about it because I have it too. Treatment spans diet control all the way to Labyrinthectomy (basically cutting out the inner ear).

He is still isn't bilateral which means only one ear is affected.
And from what I've read he's avoiding major vertigo attacks at present. One thing he can't avoid is the tinnitus and recruitment, that never goes away. I don't know what drugs he's using or if he even is right now. I stopped taking all drugs unless I have an attack.

Nasty stuff and mostly unheard of. It's suspected Van Gogh cut off his ear trying to "cure" himself from Meniere's.
