Pretty good flick,
Nightwatch or Nochnoi Dozor (in Russia) is part one of a triology of books. It basically (hard to summarize the whole movie). Deals with the battle between the light and dark (bunch of shapeshifters, vampires, and seerers) to protect humans. It has many matrix like subplots and the sets feel like a cross between Dark City and well the Matrix....


It's in limited release right now (the English translation of the book doesn't come out until July) but worth catching if you like the sci-fi/battle of two evils movie. The movie is subtitled but done in a way that makes it easy to watch the movie/read....

it left me completely unsatisfied ( yes yes I know its only part one, but how long will it be until the next part comes out). Good thing i didn't pay 9 bucks to watch it *cough cough*.

Part II is coming out in Russia this year(correction already came out) part III Dusk Watch is now in pre production. If Nightwatch does well here, it will be here 6 months or so after that....I thought it was good, I want to read the book to fill in the gaps....
