We got everything in shape pretty much...maybe the Putz will come back, but major issues are done. MA and Price are gone for good.

People who think our 1sts are bank breakers are mistaken. Abraham as suggested terms would be a bank breaker. Late first rounders don't command too much together they won't make what the top picks make. I would love to move up to Vernon Davis, but that's unlikely, but who knows. I would give a 1 and 3 for sure.

At any rate, everything is pretty settled now and attention can move to FA and the draft. The plan seems more organized this year.

It does seem more organized. The big question to me is what do we have up our sleeve regarding WR.

TO still? or a lower level FA WR?
IF we do get Abraham do we still use our remaining 1st round pick on a DE or maybe even a DT? or do we go TE/WR?

IF we get PUTZ back we should definately go WR. We need a solid route runner, with good hands and speed(good luck).
Not necessarly a game breaker type but some one who makes and creates big plays with YAC.

I wonder how Watts is doing.
I think we should look at maybe taking a QB before the end of round3.
a DT or S in round2(maybe even 1 if we have one ranked that high)
When do we take a RB? are we looking at maybe taking one in the earlier rounds?

I wonder what vet WRs and DLs Shanny brings in this year for spots

vet WR or Rookie?

Other than Safety, I see this draft as mostly offensive.

I don't think we have signed the Predator yet. (Chucky) or Buirns...we might need to pick up a LB. We have a ton of picks and FA has just started. I'm surprised the Egirls haven't released T.O. maybe they will instead release McNabb.

Mock's threads are like train wrecks...they're horrible but you can't help to stop and look. :spit:

Seriously, what the hell are you seeing then?

On defense:
Great DL class, one of the best recently.
Great LB class, again one of the best in recent years.
Great DB class, comparable to last year's where we grabbed two starters in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

On offense:
Great OL class, very deep.
Great top 4 RBs, average after that.
5 great to very good TEs.
3 great QBs, handful of projects after that.
No WR worth a 1st round grade.

This draft being "mostly offensive" doesn't really seem to add up.

The point is the team needs offensive help, particuliarly at reciever and a future OL. I'm a big of a believer of BPA as anyone, but we need some sort of gamebreaker at WR/TE and an OL of the future.

I never said the draft was topheavy on offense. I said that Denver needed help at offense thru the draft for FA. Don't worry children, we have plenty of cookies to go around in the draft.

I hope Dinger will take Watts under his wing and make he the pro bowl reciever he should be.
